Definitely, just consider that buffinglish The Slayer uses instead of normal language to express her thoughts! She's pure spontaneity.

Giles' without even stopping kissing Joyce, Giles replies 'Go away, we're busy'. That just always makes me laugh.

And this exchange is a classic:

Aaah thanks... just rewatched the scene (took me a while to find is, as, you know, I'm one of those losers who still only has taped-from-TV VHS ^^ ). The translation of the line ain't that bad, but there's no trace of the soundplay funniness remaining, sadly.... so no wonder I couldn't place the quote...

And you're definitely correct, if I'd had the chance of watching it in the original, I would. Sadly, the closest I came to that was discovering Buffy running on an encoded channel... And I have to admit, I wasn't enough of a diehard fan to "watch" more than half an episode of the series with only sound, no picture. :lmao:

BTW, the "bitca"-line got handled rather well in German synch (with a German word, of course)... Still, to my eternal shame, it never occured to me that the since-become-popular BITCA as a word originated in that scene's original version. Well, guess that's a moment of myself being a little Xander-y, right? ::snail::

This was definitely my favourite line. I thought it was really true with the Buffy/Angel relationship and just how bruitally honest he was, it's something I really admired in his character. It was something that needed to be said and Marsters delivered it, I thought, very well. Great writing and great acting-- it made that episode one of my favourites :)
