I just finished watching season six again and I really liked the song of the finale, I recognized the voice and the style of the music so it must have been an artist who have already contributed on buffy.
Does anybody know what the song is called? From the finale season six?

It's "Prayer of St. Francis" by Sarah McLachlan. It's on the Radio Sunnydale CD.

Full of Grace is one of her best...really great song
is it something by Sarah Mclaughlin? i know she sang the song played over the final scene of 'Becoming PT2' and i also know that she contributed a song to another episode, but i don't know which one.
i think the songs she contributed are called 'Prayer of St. Francis' and 'Full of Grace' but don't quote me on that.

No the song at the Prom is WIld Horses by The Sundays...and Bangel...woohoo!!
you mean the song that plays when Buffy and Angel are dancing? no, that's not Sarah. Wild Horses was, apparently, a Rolling Stones song, according to the info i've found on Google (the lyrics match) the version playing the 'The Prom' is by a band called The Sundays.

Oh, right :P lol - wohooo, give it up for Bangel!!! xD
Full of Grace would have gone much better at the end of season 6.
Edit:
And prayer of st francis at the end of season two.

I'm gonna have to disagree. I think thematically the songs were perfect right where they were. "Full of Grace" is INCREDIBLY depressing, and worked well with the end of S2. "Prayer of St. Francis" isn't; in fact it talks about healing and love, which worked for the end of S6.

I agree with Blondie Bear I think songs work perfectly as they are, especially Full of Grace...I can't imagine those closing scenes without that song.
Although I think 'It doesn't Matter' by Alison Krauss would have been better in the The Prom when Buffy and Angel break up...the lyrics tell their story perfectly.

See, I always thought that 'It Doesn't Matter' by Alison Krauss, which is one of my favorite songs, would have been better at the end of Season 3, when Buffy and Angel are staring at each other between the fire trucks.
On a side note, I went out and bought 2 of Sarah Mclaughlin's albums after I heard her song at the end of Season 2. She is such a good singer.

i just bought the US version of Radio Sunnydale from Amazon just so i could get a copy of Prayer of St. Francis. It was not on the version of Radio Sunnydale that we get here (in Australia). I couldn't get it on iTunes and it's not on any Sarah Mclaughlin cds that i could find. an expensive song sure, but a great, no essential addition to my Buffy music collection. Agree with Blondie Bear about the thematic suitability of the songs too.
