Got signed photos!

ok ok, I'm pathetic but I am obviously a rabid Buffy/Angel fan and a sent a few fan letters and I got signed photos from SMG, Charisma Carpenter and David Boreanaz! Just thought i'd share that news!:)
By the way, yes I know most of the signatures are photo copied! but stilllll!!!! LOL

3? cool, I got one from Amber Benson last year but thats the only signed thing I have out of, everything.

well, i found most my addresses on random sites...just google it basically- most were "studio fan mail"
And SMG and Charisma took a month and DB took 2 months i think....

I wrote James Marsters a letter about a year ago now, its still in the drawer next to me as I haven't bothered to find an address to post it to :p

i found robia lamortes email address on her website. i wrote her a letter telling her what a great character she was on buffy. i didnt get a reply, but i was, however, added to her list of contacts. whenever she sends out a mass email, i get one ;-)

I have never sent any mail to anyone on Buffy which is weird. I am a huge fan, it's my favorite show, you would think I would have. I did however send mail 2 times to Tia Texada who played Cruz on third watch. I had asked for some photos that were not anywhere online so I could post them on my site etc. I got a stack full of photos and even a copy of her resume the first time with a 3 page letter back, the second time I got 2 photos and a page letter. The first time it took like 3 months to receive something back and the second only a couple of weeks. SOOO it really depends on the piles they get in I guess. I would however recommend any fan sending fanmail. It's fun to get stuff back. Just be patient.

Ahh well after reading everyone else's posts I have to point out mine was picked up at a store.

Amber was over the in the UK doing a tour of all our "Forbidden Planet" comic book/scifi stores and doing a lot of signings for people in person.

But she was also here partly to promote Lovers, Liars and Lunatics so she left many copies of the film on DVD with an accompanying photo of her, all of which she hand signed with an "a". Those were distributed, one to each store. I managed to grab the one in Belfast before it was sold.

Its a pity because the store in Birmingham I had been to before and if I'd known I could have met her in person :(

Yeah I have never sent fan letters to anyone but I do have a signed Chance Poster/Chance DVD by Amber Benson and it is not photocopied which I thought was pretty cool of her!!

Yeah I thought mine was printed at first too, then on the train home I was looking at both and noticed she'd signed the squiggly "a" on both with a blue marker :D

Ive written to studio fan mail before :) theyre good...i got a SMG signed photo, an aly hannigan one and a charmed one as well :)
