So I actually just bought the first season of Angel and have only gotten through about eight of the episodes. Cry Fest with I will remember you. So anyways...I bawled my eyes out at the end of Buffy Season 7 when spike dies...
so to know that he comes back alive is AWESOME! However, can someone tell me how that came to be?
Did he not actually die or was he sent back by the powers that be?

Somebody shipped the amulet to Angel in LA. He didn't give it much thought until he got excited during one of his pep talks, dropped the amulet, and here came Spike disintegrating... but backwards. Like instead of him turning to ash, the ash was turning into him. I'm sorry I spoiled it but you asked. LOL :)

oh no you didnt spoil it! I t sounds awesome thank you so much!
I think as the Amulet was sucking in all the photonic energy it could (looking at Fred's drawings and readouts in season 5 it looks like it takes in all ambient energy and shunts more through itself lensing and multiplying it into a coherent matter/energy hybrid stream) and as Spike disintegrated his atomised form was sucked into the crystal and as it fell it was sealed in the rubble before firing him or anything else out again.
Cracking or reactivating it would cause it to release anything it was holding onto in those last few seconds. Unfortunately it would have used up whatever energy it had left putting him back together, dunno if it can be used again to clean out any other Hellmouths, so Faith better keep that Cleveland one very un-rumbly.
Although why it rematerialised him instead of just sputtering out a lot of dust, energy and light is anyones guess.

It's magic. :D
That's my guess, anyway.
Yeah, I'm thinking someone used a spell on the Amulet after it was delivered to Wolfram and Hart, or en route. Probably just a minor temporal regressive spell to reenact its last few seconds of existence backwards then move forward normally and voila, Spike. Otherwise it would have violently regurgitated everything randomly.
But you know, it being delivered to Wolfram and Hart not once, but twice by persons unknown implies someone was deliberately doing these things.

hmmm interesting theroy Kemy...whom or what do you think put the spell on the amulet...I like where you are going with this...its something that didnt get mentioned in the later Angel Episodes I am assuming???
Yeah theres this "Shanshu" thing that starts all the way back in Season 1, Angel and Spike are part of a prophecy only no one is sure which one of them it refers to, so "someone" wanted Spike to still be in the picture when it happened, so they brought him back.
Its been ages since I saw any of Season 5 and have not been keeping up with After the Fall so I can't remember much, you'd need to wait for some more of the Angel fans to wake up :lmao:

I think it was, at least on the part of W&H, "just in case we can't control Angel, here's this other ensouled vampire." Obviously, they didn't know Spike very well.

Even with the explinations there is no way to spoil it. It's such a cool scene. And Spike coming back, awesome.
