Alright, there is a place close by me where I can purchase
the season eight comics. Should I buy them? They have all
the ones that are out so far. Are they worth it?

I want your opinions!

I think they are worth it. I love them.

Plus anything involving the Buffyverse is worth it!

You should buy them!

They are definitely worth it. Now if you ask me about the Angel ones.... ugh.

If I were you, I'd look for the TPBs (Trade Paperbacks). They're collections of the individual 4 issue arcs and one stand-alone. It's the way to go to get caught up. The Faith arc rocks.

I have the first 5. I got them in a set (The Long Way Home) and I'm waiting for the next 5 to be released together (or however they plan to do it). I don't think I can afford to buy them individually. But I'm hooked now and can't wait to read the rest.

I love the comics both Buffy and Angel... Although i have to say the Buffy comics have way better art..... and therefore make them more disirable to read.... both i believe will continue to have great storylines just as the show did so definatly worth the read....

It's definitely worth it. Especially since it is an official season. You wont regret it.

Yep the group books are the WAY TO GO! I love mine.

And it IS worth it.
I was a bit iffy at first on the comic idea, but it grew on me FAST once I realized everyone here was going on with the rest of the story and I was still stuck looking at the Hellmouth Hole In The Ground in a sad and pitiful way.

I have only read the first five, waiting for the next book to come out (more patiently than expected, I should add.)

The Angel ones you should maybe wait for the book too. They seem to be starting out a little sluggishly. I have total faith in them, but it could take 5 for a story to really emerge.

Are these Angel ones everyone is discussing Canon?

Anyway, YES buy the comics! It's worth the money. :) Buying the arcs as one book is worth it, too. It's easier for them to stay in a better condition, and easier to keep together, obviously. ;)

I was talking about the canon ones. I can't speak for anyone else.

Just like the series Buffy has a lighter tone and is more open to new viewers/readers, whereas Angel is a lot darker and takes a little getting used to. Couldn't say which one's the better. But if you wanna start, I'd suggest you get the Long Way Home TPB, to see if you like the Buffyverse in the comic book medium.

The Buffy ones are totally worth it, but all 10 issues and start reading now. I think you should wait a little for the Angel ones, maybe start reading after issue 5 is released, that way you won't be upset about how short and confusing it is.

Try this place

Welcome to Kings Comics (http://kingscomics.open24x7.biz/catalog/company_profile.html)

search under Dark Horse comics for Buffy. Kings comics is in Sydney. If you live anywhere else in Oz just do a google search like 'Comic shop Brisbane' etc.
