Well, I feel dumb.
So, we started Buffy back at the beginning for my husband. We've just started S3. And we always watch Angel in the mornings on TNT. This morning "Blood Money" came on Angel.
I think I can honestly say I've seen it at least 4 times...very easily 6...just in the last year and a half. Although, TODAY, for the first time I noticed that the girl who runs the shelter was actually someone I knew! I'll give myself credit for not noticing her the first two times. The first time I saw it, I'd never seen Buffy and she looks different all cleaned up and stuff. I may NEVER have noticed if I hadn't just finished watching "Anne" over the weekend.
Maybe it comes from watching Angel first. But, PLEASE tell me at least one other person is as unobservant as I am...at least the first time around!

Yes. I've noticed as im sure many others have. She appeared on an episode of Buffy before "Anne" as Cantrelle. SHe wanted to become a vampire therefore joining some kind of cult. I love Anne.

I did recognize her when she showed back up on Anne, apparently, that didn't carry over in my head very well. Which is weird because she has a very distinct type look.
I'm trying to convince myself that I never noticed because we're always busy getting the kids ready for school and don't pay a lot of attention to the TV, but that's not really true.
Edited to add....Wanabee-slayer is the goddess of all that is pink and fluffy in the world

yeah took me til the second viewing to realise it was the same girl too. You're not alone in your unobservent dumbness! LOL
This is like when I couldn't remember where I knew Jonathan Woodward (Knox) from, I could just remember him in the back of my mind (from playing Holden Webster in Conversations With Dead People), I thought he was the guy from The Santa Clause at first, hahaha.

Lol, sorry but I did notice straight away.
That's probably because 'Lie To Me' (where she's called Chanterelle) and 'Anne' (when she's called Lilly) are two of my favorite Buffy episodes.
Also, I really like Julia Lee as an actress so that kinda helped.

Maybe it comes from watching Angel first.
Possibly. Although I think they were less-than-subtle with the runaway house since that's kinda the issue on how she ended up in both episodes of Buffy previously. So for her to take up that cause is perfectly understandable.
It might have played a little better if Angel was made aware of how "Anne" got started - with Buffy's help. And when.
Kind of a kick in the groin for him then to have used her so. A Buffy spectre to further haunt him.

I'm just as dim. Completely missed the connection. Ruffled my hair on the way past.

I've decided it HAD to be watching Angel first.
I know I saw it almost two times around and by the time we got to "Anne" it took me a bit to realize I'd seen her before on Buffy...much less that I'd seen her in a totall different context on Angel.
I'm not completely sure that the first two times I saw Anne I realized Buffy was in LA. I guess I kind of assumed that if her Dad lived there it would be a bad place to run away to.
That and I'm a flibbertigibbet.
