Personally i loved the buffy/spike scenes and the scene where spike and andrew return and then faith and spike get into a fight and andrew and spike playing i spy.

I really enjoyed this episode. One of my favorites for the season.

Spike and Buffy's scenes, and well... every scene Spike was in was great.

I loved watching his scenes, they were very moving and powerful.

I completely agreed with him so I liked everything he did :)

This is without a doubt Spike's finest hour on "Buffy." This is payment, if not in full, at least in a large portion, for the faith that Buffy has shown him through this entire season. This episode is a perfect explanation of her rather cryptic statement earlier that she was "not ready for him to not be here," and also an answer to her accusation that Giles was once more sending away the one person who was watching her back and Giles' hurried assurance that they were all doing that. As it turned out, Spike was the one watching her back to protect and defend her, while the others were just deciding where to put the knife in.

One of my favorites of all time. Spike and Buffy together, the way they were. It was very beautiful. It was the most loving scene I had ever seen between them.

And of course, Spike and Faith fighting was awesome!

I completely agree. During season 6 it was more about feeling for Buffy and even though I was a fan of Spuffy, I never felt her heart was in it during there scenes. Whereas in this episode I felt her heart was completely in it and it didn't matter if they were getting it on, it was more about them in a very calm atmosphere and they felt safe. And no matter what she had said to him in earlier episodes like get it done, he still stood by her which is someting that the gang didn't do. I feel that she didn't need an arguement she needed a pep talk and thats something that Spike did. So i say Yay Spike :cheering:

In the scene with Andrew and Spike when they were playing i spy did anyone else notice when Andrew said "What's the worst that could happen to her?" (Buffy) Spike growl?

I was going to just karma-agree, but apparently I did that already. I like that last sentence; I feel it's very accurate.

I was wondering about the part when he says "buffy youre the one" and she says "i dont want to be the one" --what do you think that's all about?? I mean, does she mean she doesnt want to be the slayer anymore, the "one" with all the power and having to make all the decisions...or is it more in response to Spike saying she's the one for him, explainign his love and admiration for her. Thoughts??

Yeah I love this episode too. It makes my spuffy heart proud. And there is other good stuff in it too. But the Spike and Buffy scenes make the whole thing dang near perfect.

I always think this is related to not wanting to be the one responsible for sending girls out to die, the one making the final decisions, the one with all the responsability on her shoulders. I think it leads to her formulating her empowering plan - because then she won't be 'the one' anymore and by sharing the power she gives the potentials a fighting chance at survival.

I think that what he said could mean a lot of things that he's saying to her. I never thought about it this way, I'd always thought that he meant it Slayer-wise, but I think that it could also mean Spike's love for her and her love for him.

Touched was definitely in my top three favorite episodes. I loved the spuffy moments, and just the overall romance was incredibly heart warming. All the couples: Buffy/Spike, Faith/Robin, Kennedy/Willow; They all were portrayed pitch-perfectly in this episode. The spuffy romance was the truest love I have ever seen, real life included.:heart:

I too loved this episode.
Breaking down the characters, showed both their vulnerabilities and their strengths.
This made for a truly heartwarming episode
