fav moments of Season 1!

Xander saves Buffy!!!! After the Master technically Kills her.

Cordy calls Buffy a Freak. (after Buffy saves her!) Cordy made me laugh...

The friendship between Willow and Buffy and the care that Xander has for Buffy

and the role Cordy plays I think was ultimately what shaped the show and why it became so successful...

While so many thought the premise of the show was so silly it was the characters and the depths they had that made the show great! And the relationships the charcters shared with one another. GREATNESS PERSONIFIED!!!

not my fav season though...

Saddest: 'Giles I'm sixteen years old...I don't wanna die'
Funniest: At the end of 'I robot you Jane' when the three are sat together and Xander says about them never having a happy healthy relationship and they all laugh for a moment before sharing expressions of 'oh god' depression
Most Impowering: I don't know whether there was impowering...but mention to Buffy being brought to life and marching to the school and also when she stops The Harvest.

I love the feel-good moment at the end of The Harvest with the peppy music and the three walking happily finished with Giles' 'The earth is doomed'

^ Er, umm, is that Finola Hughes in your avi?

I'm watching Prophecy Girl and I've gotta say, Buffy's "I don't wanna die" speech brought a tear to my eye. That was some seriously impressive acting, there. I totally bought that she was just some too-young, too-innocent kid who thought she was going to die. God, it broke my heart. Major props to SMG!

One of the funniest things that happened in s1 was the diary thing in the episode Angel

also Angel's line

Buffy: Who are you?
Angel: A friend.
Buffy: What if I don't want anymore friends?
Angel: I didn't say I was yours.

I'm revising mine. I love pretty much everything about Prophecy Girl from the "I don't wanna die" speech up to when Buffy comes back to life. That whole section was great. It was masterful. (Hehe. I made a pun.)

Hmm, I'm trying to think now.

Saddest: I have to agree with the 'I'm sixteen years old...I don't wanna die' part.
Funniest: The part where's she babbling onto Angel about it not being him in her diary when he hasn't even read it.
Most Impowering: If I could remember what that meant, I would answer ;) :p

saddest : "giles, i'm 16 years old... I don't wanna die" :(
Funniest:
“I know you have feelings for this guy,” says Xander, “but it’s not like you’re in love with him, right?” Buffy looks away from him. “You’re in love with a vampire? What, are you out of your mind?”

Cordelia stops beside the group. “What?”

Xander quickly tries to cover. “Not vampire… How could you love an umpire? Everyone hates ’em!”

Cordelia isn’t paying any attention to Xander. Her attention is locked on another girl who is wearing the exact same dress as she is. “Where did you get that dress? This is a one-of-a-kind Todd Oldham. Do you know how much this dress cost? Is this a knockoff?” She grabs the collar of the girl’s dress to check its label. “This is a knockoff, isn’t it? Some cheesy knockoff! This is exactly what happens when you sign these free trade agreements!”
and:
“So, Buffy, how’d the slaying go last night?” asks Xander, a bit too loudly. “I mean, how’d the laying go?” Buffy glares at him. “No, I don’t mean that either.”

:lmao: xander rules o/

When Buffy and Angel kissed, he morphed into his vamp face, Buffy screamed, Angel jumped out the window, and Joyce came into the room (Buffy: "...just a shadow...")

After Buffy defeated The Master, and still in her white dress: "We saved the day, I say we party!"

Saddest: When Giles tells Buffy about the prphecy in Prophecy Girl
Funniest: In The Witch, when Buffy is under the spell. Especially in the cheerleader moments. :D "It's my buds! I love my buds!"
Most Impowering: Buffy and Angel's first kiss in her room...even the he doesn't look so great afterwards...lol

Saddest - When Buffy finds out she is suppose to die
Funniest - I think Xander had some quality lines...esp from prophecy girl about his neck with angel.
Most Cherished - The conversation after the Harvest, that is repeated in Season 7.

I agree! Its one of my favorite moments too and definately a wonderful job on SMG's part. And you know whats interesting about that? I'm not sure if I heard it in the commentary or read it in an interview but apparantly SMG's dialogue from that scene was reshot one-sided (cause ASH couln't be there for the reshoot) and then edited back together because Joss felt that in her initial performance it felt like SMG was being much to harsh and arrogant towards Giles!

I think that Buffy's reaction to the prophecy in Prophecy Girl was sad cause you could see how it affected her-just being stuck with it.
