well I personally loved Season 3
Angels back and he's good but hes not really Angel...you know hes week and stuff.
Perhaps one of my most "Hold your breath and grab the hand of the one who's near you moments", was when Buffy made Angel feed on her to save him! I was like WOA!!!!'
I know it sounds weird but I think one of the funniest moments has got to be when The Mayor turned into the big Sand Worm looking Monster at Graduation I was just like ummm What?!?!?! Thats Funny not scary...deffinatly expected something much more terrfying.
Saddest for me had to be angel leaving....I mean it clearly ment the end of Bangel no reconcilition...they KNEW they couldnt be together and they both loved eachother so much boohoo!
so yeah I answered funny and sad and I guess the one that got the most feeling from me...but I cant really think of a most impowering moment at the time...I'll think it over and get back to you.

Season three was definately my favorite season so there's so many moments to choose from! haha
Saddest: Willow crying in the toilets after she finds out Xander and Faith slept together. Also the montage at the end of Lover's Walk
Funniest: The Buffy and Joyce moment in Earshot. No question. Just Buffy's 'You slept with Giles? On the hood of a police car?? Twice??!'. And the moment at the end where she says 'Sure, if you're not too busy having sex with my MOTHER' and Giles walks into the tree, teehee.
Most Impowering: The Graduation Battle. When Buffy shouts 'NOW!' and we see not just the Scooby Gang but every member of their year group ready for battling the Mayor well, ooh, it gives me goosebumps. And the music is fantastic

This season is my favourite as well, with all my favourite couples together and all. There were so many passionate moments, and I was glad to see that all the Scooby - members were getting more and more mature (except for Giles, of course). Also, this season included my favourite "big bad enemy", the Mayor. (I can't help it but I just love that guy. :D )
Now, since I share the funniest and the most impowering moment with Slayer Comma The, I just want to mention the saddest. Or, at least, I wanted to mention it... I say "wanted" because I simply can't find only one. Almost all the Bangel moments broke my heart. Their conversation on the hilltop in Amends, Buffy leaving Angel when he can't say he doesn't love her in Lovers Walk, Angel's dream about marrying Buffy in The Prom - these were the most heartbreaking moments (they always made me cry and feel hollow inside afterwards), and they are only just a few to mention. Even though they were so painful and real sad, I loved them all. I've always seen season 3 as the culmination of the Bangel relationship with all there emotions coming to surface.
Saddest: The part where Xander leaves message after message on Cordelia's phone while she cuts up the photos.
Funniest:
Student: Hey man.
*hands other student his lunch*
Student #2: Oh, thanks.
Snyder: What's in the bag?
Student #2: Uh... my lunch?
Snyder: Is that the new drug lingo?
Student #2: No... that's my lunch.
*Snyder looks in the bag*
Snyder: ... Sit up straight.
Most empowering: When Xander just walks away from Cordelia at the end of The Zeppo.
EDIT: Oh, another funny moment, when Oz is in Freddy's office and on the wall one of the newspapers says "Apathy on the rise, no one cares."
:D

Maybe not the saddest, but the Christmas episode when Buffy came to faith's room to invite her for Christmas dinner. Faith's poor attempt at Christmas decorating. and her later poorly wrapped gifts, (I've always wondered what Faith, who obviously didn't have a whole lot in either the way of money or experience in buying gifts for others, would have chosen to give Joyce and Buffy) only to have the moment basically ruined by last minute "Slayer business."

The saddest moment for me but also "empowering", so to speak, is the scene where after the final battle Angel stands there looking at Buffy. As they face each other you almost think they will run to each other and hug and kiss and forget about leaving each other. Instead, we see the painful look in both of them and then Angel fades away quickly when the smoke appears. That still tears at me. It's empowering though because you know the show will change drastically from this point and Angel will go on his own and begin his crusade.
I also like the speech the Mayor gives to Angel and Buffy in the school cafeteria. The Mayor was such an awesome character. He really tore at the underlying truth in the relationship between Buffy and Angel. Even though he was evil what he spoke was the absolute truth. When an evil person can do that there is something truly sinister about them.
I also think Willow truly moved into maturity in this season. The defining moment would be when Buffy tells her and Giles that the soul restoration spell worked. Up to this point, Willow thought of herself as a failure because she thought the spell didn't work. However, after Buffy confessed it did there was this new look of confidence that overcame Willow and it was evident in her voice when she told Giles she could do the spell that Giles tricked Buffy into believing he would do. That was a defining moment for Willow.
I could really go on and on about this season but for the sake of posting I won't. :)

Argh okay let me try and do this!! Season 3 to me had so many good parts, so many bits that made me chuckle and made me cry or smile with the characters.
Funniest: Earshot 'You had sex with Giles?' that whole scene is ace.
Band Candy 'I'm you're watcher, do as I say- No SOD OFF!' [Infact most of Band Candy- especially teenage Snyder]
Saddest: The Montage at the end of Lovers Walk
The Prom.. when Angel turns up and says 'it's just for tonight'- as much as I dislike Bangel, that bit always gets me.
Most Empowering: Has to be Graduation Day Part 2- The WHOLE student body fighting.. it was amazing.
The Zeppo- Xander's whole attitude at the end of the episode is so good. You can almost feel how much he's changed all of a suddent. Brilliant.
