Just watching epiphany again, I love the first convo , well more like monolog, when darla says
"I dont accept that. You cannot tell me that wasnt perfect. Not only have I been around 400 years, I've done this proffessionally and That was perfect. We'll go again."
LOL I had forgotten how funny that was!
anyone else found funny moments in this season that they had forgotten about and then had a good laugh again?
Did we ever discover how angel got in to save kate anyway? I cant remember...

That sounds pretty much the same as what Faith said to Robin.
I seem to remember that Kate was dead for a second or two, so Angel could go in.
As for funny moments,
Spike talking to Willow, about what Dru could have done to him, to show her love.

Actually, we never found out how Angel got in.
She didn't die, in fact there is implication to the contrary.
Kate: "I'm okay. - Anyway, I'm not headed towards another pillathon. I'm very grateful. I never thought you'd come for me, but...I got cut a huge break and I believe...I don't know what I believe, but I have faith. I think maybe we're not alone in this."
Angel: "Why?"
Kate: "Because I never invited you in."
This scene lets the viewers know that some unseen force 'broke' the rules to let Angel into her apartment because she was still alive.
Also, that scene with Darla, pretty funny but I'm not going to go crazy overboard and say it was something it wasn't.
On a scale of 1 - 10 of comedy moments, 1 being the last ten Jim Carrey Films and 10 being actual Comedy such as Morecambe and Wise I'd give this a 4.

Fair enough. I also agree not the absolute funniest thing ever but took me by suprise, I couldnt belive I forgot about that scene!
Also been in a stupid mood tonight... went to a certain worldwide fast food chain and made smiley faces in the burger buns and had a lil bit off a food fight...
Thanks for the clarification of the angel invite thing. Now that is really guna bug me about why the powers let him save her but not others... she didnt seem to be all that important really? but it has been long time since I've seen this season so there are probably many other parts that I have forgotten about.
I also loved when angel went to visit lorne on that episode, dont have the exact quote but something along the lines of
"alright alright keep your pants on!" when angel is pounding on his door, then when the door opens "oh , too late for that"
LOL

Well maybe she wasn't important, maybe it was important that Angel saved someone at that moment and she was the one who needed.
Having said that, I like to believe that the reason she was saved was because she was important and it had nothing to do with Angel.

my fave quote from this episode was:
Angel: "Actually, it's kind of funny. I-I recently got a - a gut wound myself. (Wesley stares at him with a frown) Not - not a gunshot wound like you got there. But, uh, it's kind of a - antique - sword (Wesley just keeps staring at him) is what it was. (Wesley turns back to watch the road) Went deep. - Yes, it did. - Hey, guess who stabbed me?"
Wesley: "Darla?"
Angel: "Yeah. - Actually kind of a funny story. The whole reason I had - this epiphany... (Looks over at Wesley staring straight ahead) Alright, so why don't you just tell me about these Skilosh demons."
just reading the scene isn't really funny, but with the looks on everyone's faced...priceless!

I do get what you mean about that scene. What always makes me laugh is the way Angel uses something so big as something so small as a conversation started 'Guess who stabbed me?'. I mean would you hear that question asked in that way, or at all, on any other show?

lol, yea, on Buffy.
But you're right, this is really funny, the way Angel starts some of his conversations. That's another thing I love about the show (and also Buffy), the way they manage to turn everything around, from really serious to comic relief.
The 'three times' line was quite funny. I kind of thought "You arrogant git lol". Also Angel manages to dress himself when he thinks he going evil like in Surprise.
As for Angel entering, theories I've come across include: 1) An act of the PTBs getting Angel back on his path 2) Kate gave Angel an implied invitation in the phone call as it was a cry for help, she really wanted him there.
Lindsay was really jealous of Darla. He wanted Angel.

I love how people automatically assume that it was for Angel.
All we know for a fact is that Angel saved Kates life and was allowed in her apartment even though she had not invited him.
I really like the idea that it had nothing to do with Angel, it was about saving Kate because she is important somewhere later down the line.

But if it was about saving Kate, why didn't we ever see her again on the show?
Maybe it was about neither of them, maybe there's just something like a special rule, like when a vampire really wants to help and it's a life and death situation, he's allowed to enter. Or maybe Kate subconciously invited him in, lol

The Visions that Doyle/Cordelia got - why were those people saved?
Why specifically did those people get saved when at any time any number of people in that world will probably be attacked by whatever demon.
Was it all for Angels benefit or do they play some role in the salvation of humankind in the Apocalypse?
Just because we don't see Kate again doesn't mean there isn't some plan that was set for her.
If for one moment we believe that the world is bigger than just LA and Sunnydale, then maybe Lockley is out there helping the fight:)

I like that idea, Never crossed my mind but it is a good thought. I think I'll have to adopt it! Does she appear in any of the books? I remember her mentioned in a few but I havent read them all (obviously!) I think the books I read were set before this episode though!

I don't know if she is in any books, but I do know a wonderful Fanfic that she is in and she even gets her own spin off....though the writer needs to finish the spin off.
It does however take Lockleys character and put her somewhere else and is set immediately after Not Fade Away.

Old Friends is the length of a reasonable book.

I love that scene. Angel wanted to be back on Cordy's good side so bad.

That was so funny. He was just so desperate. I think Cordy was just waiting for an excuse to forgive him by then. They were just so cute and funny together.

that reminded me in the Offspring episode:
Angel: See? You're funny! And I, well I get off a good one every once in a while, but you...
Cordelia: Angel, are you trying to say you love me?
Angel: What?
Cordelia: I love you too.
Angel: You do? When did this..?
Cordelia: Angel loves me. I love him.
Angel: Oh, my god!
Cordelia: You guys love us and we love you.
Fred, Wes and Gunn chorus: We love you Angel.
Cordelia: They were all saying it earlier. Just in case this prophecy comes true and we all die. You're not gonna wanna hug, are you?
I just love how uncomfortable Angel gets!
