Welcome Back!

[Buffy Summers]

Welcome back to the new (and improved) BB! Just a few comments on some of the changes we've made.

First, I've added some new avatars, many from Season 8. More will be on the way, but I ran out of time.

Second, we've streamlined and re-ordered the forums. Also, we've added several new forums:

- an Angel: After the Fall dedicated forum
- a Collectibles forum for Buffy merchandise
- a forum for Joss' new show, Dollhouse
- a forum for discussion of the Buffy and Angel novels
- the Angel and Buffy episode discussion groups are now public rather than for members only

Third, thread icons are now Buffy-themed.

Fourth, Buffy Season 8 and Angel: After the Fall now have Episode Guides with Recaps started. I will be adding recaps for the remaining issues shortly.

Fifth, the Gallery now has some new categories added, so get adding!

Last, and certainly not least, to go with our new look we have given the BB School a makeover with a new color scheme. Thanks to Lyri for the banner and buttons!

We hope you will enjoy these changes - we have worked hard on them and watch out for more in the coming weeks.

Wow! Haven't looked around a whole lot yet but I like what I see! Going to take some getting used to but everyone involved really did an awesome job! :thumbs:

PS: A possibly silly question but what's the little box above everybody's post? Mine's a "B", gategod has a doyle, Buffy Summers has a well, Buffy Summers. I'm just somewhat confuzzled?

Neat changes! It was worth the day without Buffy Boards... well, almost. No, really. Great job! Thanks to Buffy Summers and Lyri and all the other mods who helped out.

And to celebrate the changes... I choose a Giles icon. Cuz really, what else would I choose?

Damn, I didn't even notice the icons! There's an icon for almost everybody in the Buffyverse! That's a cool little feature. :)

Sadly I'm somewhat addicted to the "Quick Reply" feature, but this might bring me back to the good 'ole way of posting! :)

And I definitely have to second the praise for the "BB School..." banner (as well as everything else, of course), it's REALLY nice!

Wow i didn't realize the full list of new additions till now... I have to say wonderful job to all. It really looks amazing and fresh... It was a great suprise.... now i have to go look at the wonderful new avatars that i didn't know about.

is there a way to organize that so it does it by thread, instead of by posts? by posts, if i post a lot in one thread, it fills the whole page, rather than a neat list of one per thread.

Go to the Advanced Search. Type in your own username on the top right. Leave the bottom left choice as Threads.

I use firefox Randy Giles, and I've had absolutely no problems. (Well, not yet anyway. Maybe I'll be surprised later!)

I actually tested it with Firefox (that's what I use to see what things look like to regular members) and I don't have any problems. Do you have the latest version? The templates are basically the same as AD with a few fixes in them so if you aren't having a problem there you shouldn't have on here. I'm posting this with Firefox now lol

Well for the most part everything is fine except with most of the skins the header is off. Like with the 10th aniv. one instead of centered it's to the far left.

But actually I just did it in IE and it's the same. So never mind. lol

I don't think there are two of anyone, but it's because it was 11:30 and I needed to get them done, so I just went down the folders on my computer.

Oh there aren't that many it's just with the comic versions of the characters there's two Buffy's, Angel's, Willow's, and Xander's. But in 30 minutes I guess forgetting Anya isn't a big deal. You did add a Doyle and a Lindsey! I love Doyle! I love Lindsay!

Just a note if people could use replies if they're asking a question rather than karma so it's easier to reply to it? :)

But yes, the 10th Anniv one is that way. I didn't have very much time while the board was down as just getting all the colors schemes we have over to the new templates took about 12 hours. I might work on the old ones some but after a week straight of only working on the board I'm not doing it right now.

Oh and, BS, I was wondering what happened to Karma? I notice it says all those different phrases and all, and I find it pretty cool too, just wondered how you did it? Is it like a different sentence for each level of karma you reach? :silly:
