What Happened To All Of The Bringers?

I got the impression, and Xander made the statement when the Watcher was captured, that the First Evil had "an army" of Bringers. My concept of the word "army" involves far more members than what were there in Sunnydale, so I assume that there were still quite a few eyeless soldiers still out there all over the world still hunting down other Potentials during the events of Season 7, meaning that even after the battle, they were STILL doing their job throughout the world.

My question is, with the First Evil contained once more inside the now completely hellmouth, is the "Ray Charles Brigade" still out there doing their job in a mindless fashion, and if not, why not?

Even if they were, we have to keep in mind that after the fight in 'Chosen' all the potentials are real slayers, so if they tried to hunt them down, they probably wouldn't last very long

I doubt they could do a very good job without their boss. With no-one to tell them where the slayers are, how are they gonna find them? They can't just look for them can they? XD

The First wasn't a threat to the Slayerline anymore, thats all.
It still exists and will still have its many followers.

Remember season 3? The Bringers worked for the First then and it had no ability to attack the Slayers/Potentials then

I havent read any of the comics unfortunatly so my opinion is based on my understanding of season 7.
I thought the battle in 'Chosen' was just the first battle against 'the first'. I thought that the first evil could never be fully defeted as it was the root of all evil blah blh blah and will be around forever. So in my brain the bringers are continuing to do there job of hunting down the potential/ now slayers as their 'boss' is never dead!

Giles showed Buffy an entry in an ancient text that referred to the "Bringers" or "Harbingers of the First" which had served its cause sewing discourse and chaos the world over for millenia, they're literally its eyes, ears and hands on Earth, acting through them to cause disorder in Human society and keep evil rampant.

In season 7 they have a new priority to find and eliminate the Chain now that the Guardians mystical protection "hiding" them from mystic sight has gone. Revealing them to ever creature able to see their essence, and of course the First.

They have always been around, before Human Bringers, the First would probably have used lower Demons in exactly the same manner, on every world over which it exerts influence.

and well, any bringers in sunnydale anyway are dead in a big crater in the ground. im sure there are others around the world, being that the first is all encompassing, but since the first was defeated (though not necessarily destroyed) i think for the time being there is no need for them to do anything, they are more of the wait on an order sort of guys rather than taking things into their own hands, and The First is probably regrouping in general (not particularly to attack the slayers again but just in general) so whose giving them orders?
