Since Sideshow cut it's 12" (1/6) scale Buffy and Angel line, fans have been looking elsewhere to complete their collection. It's possible that Robert Tonner may make a Buffy line of his own someday. Some of his Tonner dolls look like average barbies but I have seen a few of his Harry Potter ones and they actually look really good.

Figures.com: You said before you enjoyed Star Wars and Star Trek. Are these licenses - Star Wars, Star Trek and Lord of the Rings - licenses you're looking into?

RT: Each one of those are ones I'd like to do. We have plans to approach them at a later time, but we have so much on our plate now...

Figures.com: What is your dream license?

RT: You know what, I think I got them...(laughing) I'd love to give "Lord of the Rings" a try and I'm a huge "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" fan. If you're a "Buffy" fan, no matter how long it's been off the air, you're still a "Buffy" fan. That might be one for down the road...

Ew. Buffy Barbies? Haven't they tried that already? I've seen Tonner's work before, but I just would NOT like a Buffy "doll"...I appreciate that he's interested, but these wouldn't be action figures. They're "dolls" and you can't stick up for them like you can with a SideShow! (:lmao:)

I'd have to see one to make any other real judgement, but for now... *sigh*

Just this once I am going to disagree with is work. I do agree with the fact that in the past they haven't been very good. But have you seen the Harry Potter dolls? The likenesses were great and the clothes were as well. If he does buffy like he did HP. I have high hopes.
