Episode: Go Fish
Season Two

Time to discuss season two's episode Go Fish

--------------------------

I like this episode. I especially like Cordelia's devotion to Xander when she thinks he turned into a fish monster and is swimming in the pool!

What are your favorite parts?

Wasn't too impressed with this episode. Not much sticks out from it, except being grossed out when their skin fell off. Did enjoy Wentworth Miller though. Yum!

Yummy! :)

That definitely counts. I like it when he notices that Buffy is spying on him at the Bronze. He looks really cute there!

Come on ladies, this ain't a locker room. LMAO!

Anyway, my favorite parts were all Xander and Cordelia related. When she tells him to go practice running like a man is classic. I didn't really care for the storyline. I mean come on, it's killer fish demons. Ugh, did anyone else cringe at the "Dude, what is that foulness?" quote?

Me! I did!

I didn't really care for this episode one way or the other, really.

not one of the best episodes ever. I only remember it because of Xander's speedo scene and cordelia's obvious appreiciation of it (the body and havign a boyfriend on a team, like all good cheerleaders are supposed to). I always find it weird that we get this fishy interlude just before the big season finale. I kept wondering what the vampires were up to during it.

At the time when this first aired my seventeen year old self fixated on that clip of Xander in speedos for a very long time. My thoughts oddly enough kept wandering back to it. Wentworth just didn't reach me though weirdly enough.

This episode was nice as a simple stand alone episode. It was purposely stationary as everything had to be kept and set up for the finale that was to come next so I appreciate that they couldn't do much in the way of breathtaking because they had to keep the dynamics of everyone exactly how they had been set up by I Only Have Eyes for You.

I thought it was a neat idea to go to a classic monster of the 1950s though and a lot of humor was derived from it. However that stops the episode from going past that; comedy and nothing more. It does kinda drag after you've watched it for the first time.

It's an enjoyable episode just not one of my personal favorites.

Buffy: Great. This is just what my reputation needs. That I did it with the entire swim team

:) that's great!

Do you think that Xander would've actually turned into a fish monster if they hadn't acted quickly on it? He was exposed to the steam, but was it really enough?

Not a bad comedy episode, obviously a parody of the Creature from the Black Lagoon from Universals classic horror days.

Buffy's own unique way of saying 'no'. Really hated Synder in this season for his typically American way of letting utter idiots cheat proper intellectuals out of college places just because they have some sport related thing that they'll injure themsevles out of before 30 and end up adding to the welfare state. Anyway...

Skin thing didn't bother me but it did look particularly fake, I know you can't show it being more than that on prime time, but do what the old films did and leave most of it out of the frame and do some reaction shots.

The scene with Cordelia believing Xander was a fish monster now was touching. And LOL Jonathon peeing in the pool.

And of course, the coach ends up eaten by his own "boys" :lmao:

I absolutely LOVE this episode. I'm pretty sure it was the very first Buffy ep that I ever saw. And... idk, I holds a special place in my heart. I also love the part when Cordy thinks Xander is a fish monster. God, Cordy's a dumby! (lol, but seriously, it was cute)
