I like what I've seen. My copy doesn't like to play, though, and I can't figure out why. There's no scratch on the DVD, and that's the only episode that won't work. I like when Xander's all "Of COURSE she's a demon!"

All i could think of was how bad an actress Ashanti is. Which was further proven by her role in the last Resident Evil movie (not like it was a very good movie to begin with). I thought the Wood/Buffy thing was cute. But really i think he was just trying to figure out who she was of course.

I like this episode for the fact it's such a throw back to the Xander The Demon Magnet theme. That always makes me laugh. I mean in the very beginning with Preying Mantis Lady Xander was shocked, then suspcious with Inca Mummy Girl, then accepting with Anya and now it's just one too many and he's pretty much 'AGAIN??!'. Poor, poor Xander.
Plus he's always been attracted to Slayers also which we found out have demon in them so maybe it's as much Xander's issue as it is theirs. Haha. Especially with Renee after him now.

I like the Willow/Buffy scene with the socks in this episode. "bidet of evil" always makes me laugh

The oft quoted and argued about, "Why do you all think I'm still in love with Spike?" I honestly think Joss put that line in there knowing just exactly what a furor that it would stir up, and he's still laughing about it to this day.
My favorite part of the episode was, of course, Wood finally revealing just who he was and at least part of why he was in Sunnydale, (I still say that he would've made a better bad guy than just another Slayer groupie) and then having all his hopes of a snuggle-fest with Buffy bashed by Spike.

First Date is cool, though it's one of my least watched episodes. I love seeing Anya's jealousy toward Xander going on dates, and I also love the reference to Conversations With Dead People about the blood/pizza stain :lmao:

I like parts of this episode, like the parts mentioned (bidet of evil, demon magnet etc). But I didnt like the episode overall. Does that make sense?

i find this one hilarious. This is the one where they wire Andrew and he talks to Jonothan/the first? Yes it is - just checked Buffy Dialogue database. There are some great lines:
JONATHAN/FIRST: You don't need a manual, it's intuitive. There's a button marked "Clock Set" for pity's sake. What kind of a nerd are you? No wonder you crashed your jet pack.
ANDREW: What do you want from me, Jonathan slash The First?
ANYA: And I wasn't talking about your date anyway. I was talking about this sham date of Xander's. I think it's part of a plan to make me jealous.
BUFFY: Well, it's not working.
ANYA: Are you nuts? Of course it's working. Observe my-my bitter ranting. Hear the shrill edge of hysteria in my voice.
JONATHAN/FIRST: Did you find the gun?
ANDREW: Yes, it was in Buffy's underwear drawer. She has nice things.
JONATHAN/FIRST: Show me.
ANDREW: Well, I didn't take 'em, but there were thongs and regular underpants?
JONATHAN/FIRST: (annoyed) Show me the gun.
Oh yeah, and i loved all the Buffy and Spike stuff (of course).

I thought SMG and D.B. Woodside had pretty good chemistry.
The oft quoted and argued about, "Why do you all think I'm still in love with Spike?" I honestly think Joss put that line in there knowing just exactly what a furor that it would stir up, and he's still laughing about it to this day.

That would make two Slayers, that Spike took away from Wood. ;)

I really don’t get the lore of this episode its very average is has a few amusing moments enough to keep you watching but nothing that really sticks in you mind. It gets by just on the charm of the characters.

Very very good episode:)
Where to start? The conversation between Andrew and The First was great (Andrew is a hilarious character ).
It was funny how xander was happy that he's going to the date with "normal" girl and end figuring out that she was a demon (again) who wanted to kill him. And Anya's jealousy(haha) But I felt kinda sorry for Xander...
I also love the Buffy/Spike scenes. Especially when she comes first to him after the fight and at the ending when she says she isn't ready for him to not be here.
