No because I'm not entirely sure I wanted to watch
Buffy the Ex-Vampire Slayer.

In every generation there is a Sales girl. She amongst many will refund faulty merchandise, sweep the aisles and then ring up your bill. She is a member of the Walmart Family.

Hell no. Thats like Superman giving up half way through saving the world and basically saying "The heck with this, I'm getting a real job!"

I mean you knew fine rightly she wouldn't do it, otherwise there'd be no show, no point to it at all. When they came back in season 2 it was the beginning of a new run for the show in full production, why would any writer turn around, shoot the show in the foot, and change the whole thing?

If you mean that she was right in telling Giles and Angel off, sure I agree. She may not have gone through with it, but she was right in wanting to quit.

If you mean she should actually have stopped slaying and the rest of the show should've been some Dawson's Creek like venture, no thanks. One's enough.

To me, this was kinda like when your best friend argues with someone. You see there point and you back them up when they need it, but I think after you talk to them and try to get them to reason. Yes, Buffy deserved to be angry, and scared, and all shouty at Giles and Angel. But I don't think she should have quit slaying by any means. I can see the friend talk now.

Buffy storm outta the library, I, follow.

Me: So, you weren't reeaally serious, right? I mean, just hear me out. no matter what you're gonna die, why not out like a hero?
Buff: Are you saying I should voluntarily kill myself?
Me: No, I am saying that nothing is written in stone. Paper, yes, but not stone.
Buff: They said I would die!
Me: They also said that the movie sucked and it would go nowhere, but look where we are now!

I thought it was a really good speech!! It was so very emotional. Can you image being told at 16 that you have to die to save the world!! I could see exactly where she was coming from. SMG did an amazing job pulling off the emotion needed for what was being said and ASH was equally as good. He looked almost as broken as Buffy when she was shouting at him!!

This was the one time that the "I'm so burdened" routine actually really hit home for me. Sarah managed to make Buffy so vulnarable that you can't help but sympathise with her. Most of the other times there was some humour mixed in, or Buffy just seemed whiney, but here where they actually spell it out ('I'm sixteen years old. And I don't want to die.') it's so apparent how cruel her being chosen was.
