I just watch the last few episodes before "chosen" and now I am about to watch "chosen"... again, but I am always apprehensive to watching it, not because it isn't amazing, but because once it's over... it's like, over... forever. I always get this empty feeling after its over that I hate!! There's nothing to watch after "Chosen." This show has impacted me in such a way I feel sick when it's over. I love it so much. Any of you get that feeling? I'm just sad it's gone. I wish they would surprise us with a Buffy movie or something. The comics just dont fill the void. I need to see the actors.

Yeah, same here, same empty feeling; though, after "Chosen" is over, I'd start with "Welcome to Hellmouth"... again... Ooops, does it make me a cheater? *blushing*

I get that too. Well, there's always Angel s5 to watch afterwards, with Spike at least it feels like it's continuing Buffy.
Other than that, let's just all keep our fingers crossed for a movie. But if they really did a movie, it had to be with all the actors from the show, not like the original Buffy movie. Cause that just wouldn't be the same.

i know how you feel! but there are the comics, as much as its different from seeing episodes... and yeah i just start over the series again too! Which i did before and now im up to season 5 already and i can already feel the imminent doom of season 7 approaching! *bawls*

It does give me that feeling. It's such a build up and then when Dawn asks what do we do now you realize 'damn, that's the last line' and it's all over. And whenever I watch Chosen AAAAALL the way through the episode I get nostalgic for the most random uber early season things. Larry, Revello Drive BEFORE it got taken over by the Potentials, Snyder and Flutie, Early Bangel, Herbert the Pig.....
So then of course, like the rest of you guys, this feeling makes me go back and watch Welcome to the Hellmouth. Sunnydale High could be comforting, who knew? Haha.

I feel the same way. And like UlaGan, I watch from the beginning again. Sometimes I read the book, Queen of the Slayers by Nancy Holder, again, which was supposed to be set right after Chosen. I prefer this continuation over the comics. I read the comics until The Long Way Home Part 4, and gave up. I felt it wasn't for me. I'm glad though that many fans find consolation in the comics because a lot of us may feel the same emptiness sometimes.

I also try to get hold of more Buffy and Angel books. They're also a source of comfort. And they're fun because of the different timelines and cross-overs.

Truly-ly. The early seasons were comforting, and the early Summers residence was a sanctuary for Buffy and the Scoobies, and where dinner was served with love.

speaking of books, now im trying to get a hold of a lot of the academic books on Buffy, to expand my thought on the show and maybe have a new understanding and experience the next time i go through the series. so far though, ive only obtained Buffy and Philosophy and Fighting The Forces....

I agree. As soon as I finish with season 7, I start right back over at the beginning and enjoy the series all over again.

It was mentioned in a recent press release.. that told us very little.. besides "big news". I'm not sure where the link is now, but it came up around the same time some other big news about the comic crossover. Could be a number of things.:drunk:

Owh and I watch Conviction right after Chosen :)

EDIT: Found it

i think you can't help but feel a little deflated and empty after 'Chosen' i mean it was the end of an era and rehashing that everytime you get to the end of the series is a little bit painful no matter what (and by painful, i mean the kind of pain that's only fixed with chocolate and s1)

i'm intrigued by this July news? perhaps the emptiness might get filled up? (that came out weird)

I feel empty when I watch Chosen too. When I watched it for the first time i was crying during it and afterwards, I just couldn't help it.

^^it was definately emotional, those writers they know how to pull on our heart strings with thrownbacks to Season 1 and reappearances of much loved characters... it's so good that it's just a shock everytime the credits roll, I still sometimes feel like if I just wait there will be another episode ready for me cause it can't possibly be over.

I get that empty feeling just thinking about the 'end'.

The comics help but they aren't the same as the TV show.

For me it's hard to just "start again from the beginning." While I love doing that, it doesnt help with the fact that Buffy is done. I wish there was some kind of continuation on TV in some form or another. ughh...

lol

I remember watching Chosen on t.v, and as soon as Buffy did that smile - I cried! Lol, mainly for the same reason as everyone else, because it was the end of an era and the fact that Buffy was really over :( .. I think I actually said to my mum ' No way that cant be it, it cant be over' denial :P

and again like many others I just started/start from the beginning and make my way through all the seasons again, Iv watched them so much im actually scared that soon there going to start 'slipping'.. must look into getting the chosen collection :p

Nightbird I agree the comics are good but its just not the same :( ...

Yes, I feel SO empty after Chosen! From the beginning of that episode, I start feeling empty, and at the end I'm sometimes in tears. I cried at the end of it the first time I watched it!

And I agree, it's very emotional. Especially when they killed of my two favourite characters...

The only Buffy related book I've read is 'The Monster Book'. I'd love to read some of the novels and academic books. I can’t wait until next week, when I am going to get to read the Season 8 comics and start watching Angel season 2, 3, 4 and 5 at last.

I love and hate watching Chosen for all the reasons expessed already. While I am not a huge comic fan it at least gives us something to look forward to every month...I mean look at all the buzz surrounding Buffy...4 years after it stopped airing it probably has a BIGGER fan base and it seems the media are finally starting to listen to us. Maybe a mocie isn't as far fetched as we all think..*fingers crossed*

This is totally inpossible but I would love to have a BB Buffy marathon...get the whole BB gang together and we go from start to finish with Buffy and Angel..that would be fun...but we would all have to take like two months off work, and yeah know fly half way aound the world...actually the movie is more likely than that!LOL

I'm a big fan but I don't think I would want a film. There was a chemistry by the end that was tangible, mainly because these people spent so much time together for so long. Now its very different. The actors have been apart for nearly as long as they were together and moved in different directions. I doubt they would be able recapture that magic. Kind of like the awkward feeling when you run into an ex somewhere.

I feel empty when I watch Chosen too. When I watched it for the first time i was crying during it and afterwards, I just couldn't help it.

Me too i thought maybe it was cause spike was dead most likely was but i've never cried some hard or so much when a charrie has died but maybe it was cause i realised there was no more buffy left at all and i felt really really down.

So empty... I watched yesterday and Iīm still sad about it.
Itīs OVER and Iīll NEVER watch a new Season again... doesnt matter the S8.. itīs not BUFFY Buffy... itīs Comics Buffy.

And I get the nostalgic feeling too, thinking about all the changes on the buffyverse, all the stages, and then, Buffy, Sunnydale doesnt exist anymore >.<
