View Full Version : How do you think Willow's feeling?

About Buffy sleeping with Satsu. Maybe she'll have the same kind of reaction to Angel discovering that Spike had a soul:
"Willow: "Oh so now Buffy sleeps with women, I thought I was the only Scooby girl who slept with girls... I did before it was the new cool hip thing"
:lmao:
Anyway, even judging on her one comment she made on the matter... How do you think she's really reacting? Will Buffy talk to her about it?

Well I'm certain that Willow isn't jealous so lets get that out of our minds from the off.
I just think that Willow is hurt that she wasn't told or present for such a major development in Buffys life.
I mean Willow came out to Buffy and Willow is bound to be hurt that Buffy didn't confide in her about her sudden attraction to women.
I know that it was a spur of the moment thing, but Willow doesn't know how long Batsu has been going on, and she is no doubt imagining the worst, thinking that Buffy and her aren't close anymore.

I agree with most of this - primarily, I'd say she's feeling left out (again.) But I'm also pretty sure there's going to be some jealousy involved too - not necessarily because she has the hots for Buffy (although I wouldn't dismiss that so quickly, either: she's been way more protective of Buffy than anyone besides than Tara; even Oz and Xander take third place) but because she's always had a little problem "sharing her people."

I think Willow's shocked (like the rest of us) but I don't think she's hurt, since she found out right after it happened.

I can see that. But I don't think it's because Buffy had sex.

But remember, she wouldn't have any way of knowing that this was the first time; she'd have to be wondering how long this has been going on without her knowledge, and why Buffy - who is her best friend, after all - wouldn't have talked to her about this the same way she talked to her about Angel, and Riley, and Parker, etc...

She didn't always talk to Willow about her guys, though. She didn't tell her when Angel came back, and she didn't tell her when she was sleeping with Spike. Both times, Willow was thrown, confused, and maybe a bit hurt and angry--but not because it was happening, just because Buffy didn't tell her. I bet she's feeling about the same this time.

Spike Angelus agrees: Ppoit, but, with Willow keeping her distance to protect Kennedy, maybe Willow no long sees Buffy as her "BFF"?
She and Xander had their issues by "Consequences," too, but she was still upset to find out he'd slept with Faith. And she still referred to Buffy as her best friend in "The Long Way Home." In fairly glowing terms, as a matter of fact.

I've been thinking, which is nothing new, but this time I managed to finish a thought.
I think that Willow still has issues from her 'nerd' days, Willow never did fit in and as all teens and even adults do longed to be apart of a group.
Then Buffy came along and Dum dum didi, Willow is part of a group, one where she fits in and later becomes a central part of(witch powers, i'm not saying she wasn't central as research gal but she was 'needed' once she had mojo).
Now with Willow not living at the castle and the Batsu development I think she feels as if she is being left out of the loops and I think that night be bring back old memories of 'the softer side of sears' and the pain of being an outcast.
Just a thought, a finished one. :)

I thought Willow still sorta blamed Buffy indirectly for Tara's death? and that was why Kennedy is staying away?

No, she was (still) blaming herself, not Buffy, for keeping Tara in a dangerous situation. The idea being that danger constantly surrounds Buffy and her group, and Willow and Tara could have left Sunnydale and got out of that environment - but instead of doing that, Willow chose to stay there, and inadvertently got Tara killed. She "chose Buffy over Tara."

Yeah, I think that'll probably be the type of reaction she'll give. In her brief moments in issue #12, she just seemed snarky about it (like when she said "Nothing seems to make sense tonight"...not exactly a comment that hints toward the feeling of betrayal.) I just think she might be a bit offended for a bit, then she'll just start teasing Buffy about it.

Joss confirmed along with 'Buffy's not gay now' that Willow was a little jealous. 'Well I didn't want to sleep with you anyway' He mentioned that in the original NYTimes interview.. also some other subsequent interviews.
Not that I think that's really a huge deal for us to examine.. think it's a natural reaction. Seems more interesting that Willow has been put in there to mirror a lot of the fan reaction to Buffy's new adventures. Actually the look on Willow's face was a lot like mine 'wtf are you doing?' :p

I don't think Willow has any sexual or romantic feelings for Buffy, I think she might just simply question her and then that's really it. I don't think she'll be hurt with Batsu just happened and it wasn't like her and Spike going on for MONTHS and nobody knowing about it. Also if you remember I believe it was issue #4 last part of Long Way Home, Willow said that her and Buffy have a special connection which is how Willow was able to transfer her powers to Buffy for a brief moment. (I hope they further explain this connection)

Well we can speculate and think she loves Buffy. I can't say either way cause I don't know. But if she does love Buffy she's hurt. If she doesn't then she is probably just wondering why she didn't come to her with the possibility of her liking satsu.
And then we can say Buffy didn't know how she felt which is why she didn't go to willow with it. Lost of things to look at.
But if Willow likes Buffy that way, she may think why didn't Buffy want to be with me?

Its jealousy, but not the typical kind of jealousy. On some level it represents rejection to Willow, much like Xander felt when Buffy let him down. Everybody, on some level wants to be attractive to the people that mean the most to them.
I have my friend Gina who is the closest thing I have to a sister, and it would feel completely icky to hook up with her, but I certainly appreciated it when she said I had the nicest butt out of everyone she knows.

I think Willow would take Satsu's side on the matter and chastise Buffy for using her to "experiment".
Having first hand knowledge in a similar situation, a good friend of mine pretty much stopped talking to me after my first, um, "experiment". Thinking it was because she was jealous, I also got mad and didn't talk to her either. When we finally did sit down and have a heart to heart, she was upset with me because she felt I had used some girl just to get my kicks. I tried to explain my bisexuality to her and she would have none of it. In her eyes, there was no such thing as a bisexual, just someone who couldn't make up their mind. I've had boyfriends who felt the same way. It's ok to be straight, it's even ok to be gay, but if you're bi, people on the far ends of the spectrums want nothing to do with you.
I've been in a zillion debates over this, and a lot of lesbians that I've talked to have been hurt by women, claiming to be bi-sexual, when in reality, they were bi-curious. And yes, there is a difference. These girls get into relationships with these curious women and end up getting left for a man and they feel rejected and used. So therefore, they automatically judge someone else wrongly that is in that situation.
I didn't mean to go off on an advocacy tangent or anything. I just think that if Willow does get upset, it would most likely be from that point of view. I think she would see Buffy using Satsu and then ultimately hurting her because she's not really gay or bi and Satsu is. I think she would be most upset at the fact that Buffy used this girl, after knowing she was completely in love with her, just to satisfy her curiousity. I mean, obviously, Buffy had no intent of a "real" relationship with Satsu, she pretty much made that clear during the "afterwards" conversation.

Excellent point made. I didn't even think of it that way. It was probably one of the first thoughts that Willow had on the situation... She'd also probably know that whatever reason Buffy slept with Satsu for, she would probably know that Buffy isn't gay. But yes I've been hurt by a girl claiming to be bi-sexual. I'm glad I haven't had anyone argue my sexuality against me, though.

Maybe Willow's upset, I would be... if someone who wasn't me would get it on with such a beautiful woman *sigh*
Okay serious now, maybe she was confused at first and maybe a little bit hurt that she wasn't the first to know. And I think beside her own feeling she will always suport B, wheter she's gay or not
