Old Loves And New...Friends?

Considering the recent events with Buffy and Satsu, and the fact that everyone in the castle and probably surrounding territory almost certainly knew about it before the next evening, what do you think the reaction would be if one or the other (or BOTH) of her two vampire boyfriends dropped in for a visit?

Angel would be rather angry, Spike more like livid. Not only have both of them been ditched, the Immortal thing was a decoy, real Buffy has moved on and in bed with another Slayer.

I can't see either of them being happy about it at first. But I think Angel would be more understanding.

I can just imagine dumbstruck silence followed by Spike eventually saying to Angel 'I told you we should have locked her in the little box!'

I'm with Joyce Summers on this one. Is that any sort of surprise at all? I always agree with her. And, in this case, I think her idea would be hilarious.

Honestly, I think Angel would be kinda snippy (like he was when he smelled Spike on her) and say something cookie-related. Maybe mention that he is now actually getting older? I don't know what Spike would do. I kinda think he might raise his eyebrow and smirk a little bit - cuz I think a part of him would dig the slayer on slayer interaction and also think it was kinda funny, even if the other part was sad about kinda sorta being replaced. Also, they'd be able to swap surprises, with Spike being alive and all, and Spike's aliveness would definitely take precedence over Buffy's fling!

Your all crazy, If Spikes first reaction wasn't to suggest a threesome I would eat my hat.

I think both would understand as they both know she's not a lesbian, it was also implied that to Vampires sex was totally for fun no matter who it was with, like it was even suggested their was an Angel/Spike moment of some kind.

Maybe pre-soul Spike would have suggested a threesome, but I think new-improved-ensouled Spike is better than that.

Joyce Summers agrees: I love it when you agree. Haha. And I can definitely see the Spike-Smirk thing. Most likely followed by Buffy blushing and ordering him to stop looking at her that way.

Here's how it could go, then:

Spike: "Slayer. (::Slight head nod. ::) Slayer Junior."

:: Spike tilts his head and does the funny little smirk/raised eyebrow thing. ::

Spike: "Interesting company you keep there, pet."

Buffy (blushing): "Do NOT look at me like that. I'm serious, Mr. I'm-Back-From-the-Dead-but-Forgot-to-Call!"

Spike: "Yeah, well, I was a little busy, what with being in Hell and all. Monsters to slay. Neighborhoods to co-Lord. You know how it goes. Seems you were a bit on the busy side yourself."

:: Angel's eyes widen as understanding finally dawns. ::

Angel (gasps): "But what about the cookies?!"

:: Everyone turns to look at Angel. ::

:: Angel folds his arms across his chest and mopes (I mean "broods). ::

Angel: "I meant metaphor cookies. It's a thing."

Spike: "I told you we should have locked her in a box."

Buffy: "You *what?*"

Spike and Angel (quickly): "Nothing!"

Damn you were the last person I karmafied PV, otherwise it would be Karma-Ahoy there. That's EXACTLY how I imagined it would happen. You read my mind! Haha.

I especially love the Angel bit. The slow-on-the-uptake-followed-by-wide-eyes-cookie-analogy-and-then-brooding. Very Captain Forehead. Love it.

The synchronized 'Nothing!' at the end made me laugh out loud. That's it; I'm taking that scene as official canon whether Joss has them find out or not. So there ::nods firmly::

palabravampiress agrees: Yeah - I agree. I don't think post-soul Spike would start their "hey, I'm alive" conversation by suggesting a romp with Satsu.

Have you seen Spike in After the Fall? He is living with a colony of half naked supermodels/demons! if you don't think he would mention a menage et trois even just as a joke....*shakes head in amazement*

As for how they would all react...I think Angel would be stupified, staring at Buffsu in awe and then would mentally kick himself for being a perve and make himself scarce. I don't think he would be angry, maybe a little hurt cuz of the cookies. I think he would want to talk to Buffy on he own and see where her heart and head is at.

Spike I don't really see being angry either. I mean why would he? He has been Heffing it up at the Mansion. I think he would be more intriqued about it, maybe a little bit annoyed, I can see the box comment happening. I really don't see them being angry.

As for Buffy that's where angry comes in, getting caught by both of her former lovers would piss her off. Not to mention Spike being not burnt to a crisp anymore and Angel having his own spoilery developments that I can't mention here. Somehow she would turn it all on them and end up chewing em out.

Oh, I think Spike would *think* about it, sure. Hence the funny head tilt/smirk/eyebrow thing. I admitted that I thought he'd like the idea of slayer-on-slayer action.

I just think he's smart enough not to make *that* the first thing he *says* to Buffy when he reveals himself as non-crispified. Talk about asking to get chewed out by the Buffster! It might be the first thing he thinks, just not the first thing he says. There is a difference, there.

Plus, I hate the pinup women thing going on in the comics. I'm sort of counting that as a fluke and waiting for the new artists. I mean, I'm far from the only one who is annoyed by all the women being all busty and more naked than clothed. I don't find it in-character at all for Spike. He's always been a one woman man, even when he was with Harmony. I just find that whole situation incredibly annoying: the art, the out-of-characterness, everything! I guess I choose to ignore it. lol.

She's lonely and feeling really isolated, and took a little solace in Satsu. Angel has been around a long time, and he understands the idea that there will be others but, and while he won't like it, he'll respect it.

It just occurred to me that we might have been ignoring the other lady in this situation (more accurately the former hell god lady: Illyria). As protective as she is of her "pet." she might just drag Buffy AND Satsu out of that bed and wreak vengeance all over that castle with them. You know what they say: Hell god hath no fury like a ticked off Illyria.

I doubt she'd find two humans doing it as anything to get all upset about. Then again, if Spike was upset, maybe she'd get her back up a bit. Who knows? I'm still trying to get a handle on that character.

So, I started reading this and then just skipped to the end, because I have my own idea of what would happen. I don't want it to be affected by anything I read here. I wasn't inferring jealousy on Illyria's part, though it's a possibility. Spike and Fred were close, and who's to say what might have happened with Wes gone and Fred still "Fred."

I just meant that she would be angry because the two girls had upset her pet, possibly so angry that she would decide to do something about it in an Illyria-like way. Violently.

Then again, she might ask for a demonstration...

I really don't think Spike would *seriously* propose that right off the bat. I think he'd think about it. I think he'd be amused. I think he might even insinuate.

But I don't think:
1. He'd want to share Buffy -- in any capacity, even just for fun. He's still sore over all those years of sharing Dru and over Buffy's residual feelings for Angel.
2. Want to have to account for what *he's* been up to.
3. Want their first back-from-the-dead meeting to be a threesome with some girl he's never met and doesn't give three figs about. I mean, he won his soul for Buffy. She's not Harmony.

^ Exactly. Any sexual hijinks Angel and Spike got up to (whether together or not) were BEFORE they got their respective souls. Both are too possessive of Buffy to share her with anyone, even each other. So, no, I can't imagine Spike and/or Angel engaging in any three- or foursomes with Buffy and/or Satsu.

Well I think Spike would just go on and on about him not beeing girly enough for B and that that was why she never really wanted him, and now that he would see the point he would go all on with his girly acts :P Cause I love how girly spike can be sometimes. He's sometimes just like a girly b*tch wining and stuff :P
