Get the DVDs and start over from the Season 1.
Try to watch it once per day at least - unlike me, who watches it as much as could fit in a single day.

Lucky lucky! I love that feeling you get when you watch an episode for the first time haha. Though I hate that feeling you get when you've finished the series, though I usually always go back to the start and watch all over again.
Hope you have lots of fun, though I'm sure you will! :)

How lucky yo are! I wish I could watch the finale for the first time again. Well, after this, things will never be the same again Emma. It's so great to know you still have something new to watch and after Chosen, that feeling leaves. Except when you still have Angel episodes to watch I guess.
Starting over again is a great idea, but slightly strange and bewildering at first imo. You have all these great characters (Anya, Spike etc) that are suddenly not there, you have some characters that are still or already, lol) there, but they are all different (just compare high school WIllow with lesbian wicca Willow, or high school Buffy with Spike-loving Buffy). On the other hand, you get some great characters in the mix that left after s3 to do a certain well-known and loves spin-off. I imagine it to be very amusing from time to time to watch Buffy season 1 or 2 and Angel, maybe s3, at the same time and just compare Cangel Buffy timeline with Angel timeline.

I admit, I still sometimes get Buffy withdrawal, even though I have the DVDs. I always catch myself thinking about Buffy (or just thhe hotness of James Marsters), and I have Buffy-related dreams all the time (like last night, I dreamt that I was swimming in a lake with Xander and Willow until people started yelling at Xander for chewing gum...DON'T ASK.)
But to weaken the withdrawal symptoms, watch it again! And, in case you ever had any doubt, I definitely suggest getting the season 8 comics...they're SO good. I guarantee you'll love them, even if you've never liked/read comics. They're almost as good as the TV show, aside from the fact that they only come back once a month and you can read them in, like, 5 minutes. *sigh* Oh well, as long as Buffy continues somehow.
Oh, and Dollhouse is starting in the fall, so we'll have more Whedony goodness!

Lucky you...I'd love to see it all again through fresh eyes.
I wish I had one of those mind wipey things from Men in Black so I could wipe my memory of Buffy and watch it as a total newbie again...*sighs*. Buffy has spoiled me! It was so good nothing ever seems to interest me a fraction of what it did and continues to do.

Start watching again, but look for other people's reactions on screen than the one's you're used to watching. It always adds a little newness to the show... at least, it does for me.

Yeah, I could do with one of those flashy things as well. And I totally agree about nothing ever seems as good. I mean I adore Supernatural and never miss an episode but still not as in love with it as I am with BtVS. Buffy is a whole other level of TV crack and everything else pales in comparison. Oh fie. *sulks*

Like most here, I wish I still had some new BTVS or Angel to watch. Enjoy them while you can, and then go back to season 1 and start again.

Oh, it's great to watch Buffy episodes for the first time:)
But I can feel lucky too-I haven't seen whole Angel yet.
I'm watching season 4. I saw Release yesterday.
That's why I haven't visited Angel forum by now. I know about some things, but not everything and I don't want to get spoiled much.

I guess I can top that... I have lately dreamt twice of Fred changing into Illyria while she was talking to me. And I have never even seen even one Illyria episode yet, we've only just had "Numero Cinco" air here in Germany! That's weirdness.

oh jeez, ive had buffy dreams too. one a couple of years ago that was actually frightening, spike was in it, but think season 2 spike... and he was chasing me down to kill me.
I also had one where a huge bunch of people were fighting a huge array of vampires... including some scoobies but everyone else was just reg people, myself included.
