Okay well I see this as two different questions. Who should Angel be with? I would answer, Spike because I don't mean in a sexual relationship, but in a they-are-hilarious-and-play-off-each-other-well sort of way. Now for his true love I think it would be Buffy. I could see Cordy as an option too because I think a person can truly love two different people depending on where they are in life. We all know that Angel truly loved Buffy and I think that he also had true feelings for Cordy and if it was not love yet I think it could of been. So I voted for Buffy in the poll, but there is my longer more complicated answer. :smile:

Angel should be with Cordelia because she would drag him out of his favorite brooding chair and introduce him to fun and laughter, things he seems determined to avoid. If he and Buffy were together, it would be him brooding, her crying, and nobody ever having any fun.

Even though she was young when they met, Buffy and Angel were in love. True as it could be. Even in Buffy's young adulthood she still was in love with him. That's something that can't change, true love. So..Buffy.

Angel with anyone but Buffy just never seemed quite right. Although his chemistry with Darla and Gwen was always great, Buffy and Angel just have that big epic love. The writers got it right the first time.. all subsequent attempts have been second rate or worse for me ;)

I think that when Angel was evil, he and Darla were absolutely perfect for each other. If not for the gypsy curse, I don't think that those two would have ever split up. However, if we're talking true love, Buffy and Angel had something that he would never have been able to find with anyone else.

She didn't put up with his crap, she wasn't in awe of him, she told him the truth when he needed to hear it, she was his friend, his confidant and they really could have been the real thing given half an ounce of luck. well...I havent gotten that far into Angel to see him with Darla or Cordy. When I first heard about Angel and heard he was with Cordy I boycotted ever watching it for that fact alone...but it sounds like alot of people love the two together so we will see. But I highly doubt anyone could ever replace Buffy!

oh and as a note I FINALLY gave into watching angel because I wanted to see the I will remember you epi. After seeinf a clip on youtube. Now I have the first two seasons and havent finished the first...but I would have to say I REALLY like cordy in Angel so like I said we will see. But for now...and probally EVER BUFFY!!!!!!! TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES!!!!!

But, if it's only a romantic relationship we've seen onscreen, I'd go with Cordelia. I'm very on the fence when it comes to Angel's relationships because, though Angel was my favorite Buffy boyfriend, I prefer Angel and Cordy. They just have a much more mature relationship than Angel and Buffy did, and knew each other very well. Also, they were actually friends before they got involved together...I always thought it was a bit weird how Buffy met Angel and didn't even really bother befriending him before they started a relationship. So, yeah. After seeing how great Angel and Cordy were together, I've become more of a Spuffy fan (although I absolutely loathed Buffy and Spike together in season 6.)

Angel should be with Cordy. They got a mature realtionship. The thing with Buffy was only puppy love. Yes it did look fantastic in the beginning, but it would never have lasted. You know how it is. At first everything´s just great and you can´t see one single thing wrong with the person you´re with, but after a while it´s more like "bored now..."

For me it depends on how you see it. Angelus surely fits with Darla. Angel? No way. I know Angels realtionship with Darla grew a little with her being pregnant and all. But for me it´s a big no no.

I am very loyal to the Buffy/Angel relationship so I had to vote for Angel to be with Buffy. Unlike other relationships the two have had, their own is tender, deep, loyal and passionate. There's no hot, mad sex, but only loving moments. They belong together and in my opinion, it is stated several times through "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" that they will always love each other. One episode that sealed the deal for me was "I Will Remember You" from "Angel" season 1, as heartbreaking as it was!

Bangel is a big no-no for me... I liked them until "Becoming", but after that it just annoyed me.
