Well the question in the title and the question in the poll have different answers. No matter how much I love spuffy, I do think that Buffy's true love was Angel. However I think that Buffy should be with Spike. So I'm gonna go with Angel for buffys true love in the poll but Spike and Buffy should still be together!

I think Angel is her true love, and I love Spuffy too and believe there was a definite intense connection there, but as who she should be with I voted Riley as Riley's the only one who loved her and who could allow her to have some semblance of a normal life.
She could never be with Angel or Spike long-term because of all the vampirey complications, but with Riley she could. And in Into the Woods she did realized he was, or could be, the One.

This is true Buffy loved Angel the most( so I voted in the poll) but she should stay with Spike. This is because Spike knew her very well and he loved her for who she was, with all her virtues and flaws. Angel knew her only as a teenager, we don't know what would it be if he saw her, for example in season6. Despite this, Angel sometimes tried to be a father for her. Spike was her partner. He supported her but let her decide on her own. At first Buffy didn't love him but then she started to(although that wasn't the same love she felt for Angel) It came with all the've been together through. This is why I think Buffy&Spike are meant to be.

Gotta say Angel, even though their were a few times during season 7 I thought Spike and Buffy should be together, but it always comes back to Angel, but we'll see how the comics turn out (keeping fingers crossed).

i see your point, abotu saving the world and everything but she could get abit depressed if she doesnt have anything in her life to look forward to although she has to have somne sort of normal life as unlike angel she doesnt charge for her services as a slayer and she has to provide for dawn, so she will meet people and if she has devoted her life to saving the world she would be able to interancet with people like "kendra" and she endded up being dead so i think the relationships buffy has streenthen her

yeah, if Buffy didnt date and have friends she would probably have did long ago, in fact she would almost definetly have died.
Angel, Spike and Reilly saved her on more than one occasion.
