Alright after watching this episode i was really happy with it. But then it hit me though i love cordelia to death she's an amazing character but after seeing and feeling the pain and need of all those who cry out. Shouldn't she have changed more dramatically, and when i say that i dont mean that she didn't change throughout season but I'm just thinking being trapped in your own mind seeing and feeling the suffering of others should have destroyed the mind frame of the old cordy. Or maybe I'm just reading to much into it but i was wondering anyone's thoughts.

Or maybe I'm just reading to much into it but I was wondering what anyone's thoughts on this are.

Just to clarify I reposted this as I had toruble understanding this and came up with the above.
My thoughts are that the change in Cordy was subtle and not overwhelmingly drastic, so no it didn't destroy the mind frame of the old Cordy, just added a new depth to her Character.

Well th visions DID change her. And this was just a huge succesio of visions. Cordy already changed throughout season1, even before the visions started. Then she got them, felt the pain and everything and of course changed a lot. So it would be natural to assume that this whole bunch of visions woul've done something. But, maybe they were just too powerful? I mean, Cordy was out of her mind, so wouldn't it be logical if she was more or less dilusional? Also, something like visions probably don't change you from one day to the next, I assume it's a slow process. And this was just one day. Maybe if she had had visions like that everyday for a month or so, that would've destroyed the mind frame of old Cordy, but one day just doesn't do the trick.
Also, this all caused by a demon made it less powerful imo. Sure, she saw the pain, but she knew (at least later) that a demon was responsible for it. So maybe it's not even clear how much was true of it?

Plus, you have to remember that brooding was what Angel was supposed to be doing on a permanent basis. If the others started doing the same thing, there would be no contrast, nothing to set Angel apart from them, plus they would have to change the show's title to "Brood Fest In LA."
