Scariest: Prophecy Girl - I don't think much of season 1 was actually scary but I think this came the closest.

I love so much about season one. The 'Angel' & 'Prophecy Girl' eps are a given...but I also love Never Kill A Boy On The First Date. I just think this ep was put together perfectly. It's the first ep where we really get an insight to Buffy wanting to be just a 'normal girl'. I also love when Giles asks 'What were you talking about?' 'BOYS!!!' Haha, too cute!! :)

Funniest: "The Witch". If only for this Giles' line:

"This is madness! What can you have been thinking? You are the Slayer! Lives depend upon you! I make allowances for your youth, but I expect a certain amount of responsibility, and instead of which you enslave yourself to this, this... Cult?"

Scariest: "Angel". I watched this the day it aired, before anyone knew (aside from the writers) that Angel would turn out to be a vampire. I was startled when Angel growled at Buffy, and Darla biting Buffy's mom? I thought she might actually die.

Favorite: "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date". Okay, this isn't the 'best' episode of the season. That honor goes to "Prophecy Girl" or "Nightmares". For me, however, this episode embodies the core of Buffy's character. From this moment on, we see Buffy struggling with her duty as the slayer and her desire to be a normal girl, with a normal love life.

"Clark Kent has a job. I just want to go on a date."
