Something I didn't notice before...

Rewatching Angel from the beginning through to Not Fade Away, and I only just bloody noticed Merecdes McNab's elevation to main cast member at the end of season five. I really didn't notice the first time around :S

Good for her, sure, but she didn't offer much to the show other than means to ends, in my opinion. I appreciated the face, the person being so deeply tied to the original mythos of all this hoopla, but I never liked her.

I can't remember. but I don't think Angel is in the Pilot, if that is the case the Harmony is the ONLY character to be in the Unaired Pilot and the last episode of Angel - the amount of time she was with the 'verse' kinda thing she deserved it.

However, I do believe she brought a certain light hearted feel to season 5, which otherwise would be quite dark otherwise.

Harmony was one of the consistently brilliant characters throughout Buffy and Angel, and personally, she thoroughly deserved having her (albeit short) time in the limelight.

Whether she was in the credits or not, I never saw her as a main cast member. She's still just a guest star to me. I don't like that they gave her Cordy's backdrop though.

I thought Harmony brought great comedy to the show and she was so good at it too. I really loved her character, sad to see that when the show was ending that was when they decided to put her in the opening credits.

What about Darla? She was in the original Buffy pilot as well. And she appeared (here and there, including flashbacks) all the way onto the end of 4 of Angel.

I wished they would of let harmony stay good, or close to it. She did give the show a warm hearted typed feel. I miss her.

And yes I noticed all along and I think she deserved it.


MAybe they'll let her come back in the comic. They could have it that the papers that Angel gave her were instructions instead of a resume. Telling her that he knew hell was coming and could of sent her to get help. Even to Buffys camp, ((morelikely Willow)) lol

Harm was the sort of vampire you grew to like.
She seemed really annoying as human, and even more when she died.
But even though she has no soul, she isn't exactly the kind of evil that makes you shit yourself

Was never a Harmony fan , She used to annoy me with the constatnt whining .Met Mercedes though and she was a babe. Spike put it best when declaring his love for her in " The Harsh light Of Day".

I din't like the way they just relaced Cordelia with her, but otherwise I didn't really mind Harmony. Though, does anyone think those two should've had some more time together on screen in Angel s5?

Actually, I'm thankful for Harmony in Angel season 5. She was so funny and sad and sometimes pathetic. And I liked watching her trying to "live" her "life" around all those humans and other vampires, and nobody, nobody liked her. She made me laugh so that's why I wanted her on Angel.

God, I just wish they'd not made her be in cahoots with Hamilton there at the end, it would have been better if she'd just been pretending to get info for Angel. She just seemed to be on such a road of self-motivated progress, I just hated that they did that to her... she really could have gone out as a "selfless" souless vamp. *sigh*

I thought Mercedes did a great job with the role she was given. I am an actor as well (although only theatre!) and I can imagine what a difficult role that must have been for her. (trying to make a otherwise trite comical character appear meaningful, making us care about her, etc)

She was funny but nothing more. It really annoyed me they dedicated an entire episode to her. In the end she was basically there to stop the show becoming a sausage fest.
