An interesting inside story... Someone I know is a puppeteer and he knows a lot of people in the puppetry circuit. We started talking about "Angel" and the puppet episode, and he told me that he knows the puppet builders for that episode and the word was that the episode came about because David Boreanaz was being a jerk and the writers wanted to show him that they could do a successful episode without him!

(I don't mean to offend any David B. fans - rest assured, I consider myself one of them.)

Interesting. I to am a fan of his work. But I saw him on the Graham Norton show and he seemed a bit jerky.

Maybe, but they still needed his VOICE! So, maybe not the best way to show him.
Now, turning him into a FROG would have worked nicely!

Mmm, DB doesn't always come across as a great person in interviews. Quite the opposite in fact. But because I enjoy Buffy/Angel, and don't want to spoil that, I just ignore the interviews now, in the same way I ignore his sometimes dubious acting!

I always thought David seemed pretty co-operative. The only person who seems to be like that is Sarah Michelle Gellar; I mean for gods sake, she wouldn't be in 'Not Fade Away' 'cause she thought her Buffy/Angel days were over. But...I'm not hating here...But still, yeah, they still needed his voice, so they weren't actually doing an episode without him. It coulda been a rumor or a joke or something, right? I'd like to keep my love for David alive :p
