Yep, you read it right, Dark Horse are releasing an offical Buffy Tarot Card Deck, 'The Slayer's Tarot', scheduled for release in the Autumn.

I might have to invest in these too! lol

I am so not into Tarot cards, but these look pretty awesome, so I might buy them if just for the art.

Wow. Like really just wow.

I mean I already have a tarot deck. I love them- and they are beautifully designed...so does it make me shallow that I want the Buffy ones too? Haha.

I love the fact that they haven't gone for the typical 'Lets just stick photos of the actors/characters on cards, label them and say it's a tarot deck', but rather just used the show as inspiration for creating a fantastic new, yet traditional deck. So very cool.

That will be my buy of August ;) haha.

Whoa. Those are kinda disturbing. Not that that's a bad thing. I always think of tarot card art looking more graphic, stylized than that. Pretty darn cool.

Wow, they look great. Just like JS I already have a deck of tarot cards at home, though they were the cheap kind. And I still don't know how exactly tarot works.

I learnt how to read Tarot years ago, though I haven't picked up cards in a long time...in fact, I don't even know where my deck is!! This might just persuade me to start reading again. I might have to brush up my skills, though! lol

I think I'd rather have these than the ouiji board.

This is very exciting and yet another thing to order. But I am not complaining. I don't want it to end.

I think I might just have to buy them and store them right next to my original set of tarot cards!
I would love to read about why they chose certain images and what they represent.

Those are really cool looking. I was wondering who do you think the girl is on the death card. Just curious cause I can't really tell.

DUDE. These are AWESOME. Definitely buying these.

I've never been really adept at the tarot...crystals are more my thing. Anyway, I already have half a set of printable Buffy tarot cards, but these will be all pro and reek of awesomeness.

This makes the Pagan in me squeal with geeker joy. :D

I'm not really into the tarot cards thing but my girlfriend is and I think she'd enjoy them. Then again I'd enjoy them just cause they're Buffy.

ok so from looking at the dates on these posts i'm a little behind on this one but beleive it or not i've only just found this thread!

i have been trying to learn tarot for the past two years but every time i start a few days later i've gave up and thats how its been for two years. i guess one reason is i've not got a deck i'm truely happy with yet (i have about 5/6). these buffy one might be just what i need to truely get into it. does any one no where i can order some from as i've looked and cant find any at this minute?

and does any one have any tips on how to learn without giving up so quick i have a tarot bible book but i dunno there just seems to be so much to take in at once so does any one any tips?

thanks in advance

If you're talking about fortune telling (http://www.sacred-texts.com/tarot/pkt/index.htm) and not the traditional card game (http://www.pagat.com/tarot/), you'd best be served by getting a cheap pack of the "Rider-Waite" cards with the little booklet of interpretations. They're VERY easy to find and much cheaper than others. They have been featured a great deal in movies and TV (including Buffy). The cards handled by Drusilla and in one scene by Tara look like they are derived from the Rider-Waite style, IIRC.
