I'm not a huge fan of Angel (seeing that I've only seen a couple eps...), but I am a big fan of Buffy, and I obviously know who Cordelia is, and I was just wondering... How/Why/When/[insert another question word here] did Cordy die?
Thanks :)

She was in a coma after giving birth to an ancient demon goddess. She never regained consciousness, although she kinda astrally helped Angel get his head straight. Then she died. Unless it was WRH saying she died and they really just snatched her.

conner who is angel and darla's son (i think it's been a while and i never rilly wached angel)
Ah, the death of Cordelia.
Okay, as a recap for you, Darla came back into town one day during...season 3 I believe, and Angel finds out that she's pregnant with his son. The only way he could be born is if Angel killed Darla, and then Connor was born. Connor was taken by a guy named Holtz, and they flip dimensions, and then for a while, Angel doesn't see Connor.
Connor comes back, and his main purpose is to kill Angel. Connor finds out Angel is his real father, and then stuff happens, and then Connor and Cordelia eventually have their night together. Later on, Cordelia becomes pregnant. And, upon birth, Cordelia goes into a coma. She eventually dies.
...I hope that helps. ^^

Cordelia was imbued with the 'visions' upon working with Angel in LA.. She pretty much saw people in danger and sent Angel to save them - often helping out... So at the end of S3, she was approached by a demon, Skip, who claimed to be working for the 'Powers That Be.' Skip informed Cordy that she had become a higher being, ready to move to the next dimension and reign as a higher power (one assumes in some sort of paradise)... Anyway, Cordy went, and returned at the beginning of S4 with no memory.. Eventually, her memory came back, but she started doing all these wacked out things (such as sleeping with Connor - who was 18 now BTW, and killing Lilah, and just generally acting like a sooky bitch). Towards the end of the season, she reveals she's pregnant with Connor's child... The gang soon find out the truth, which involves a former 'higher power' having hijacked Cordelia's body whilst she was in the higher dimension.. This 'being' possessed her and pretty much used Cordy all year to do it's evil being... Eventually, it gives birth to itself (through Cordelia's body), leaving Cordelia drained of her life...
Half way thru S5, it seems she's awoken to find Angel and gang running an evil law firm.. She helps out by puttin Angel back on the right track, and essentially showing him that he must continure 'fighting the good fight.' At the end of that episode, Cordelia disappears and Angel receives a phonecall informing him that she has died. It appears Cordelia never actually (by 'actually' i mean physically) woke up, and she only acted in her guiding capacity through astral projection..
So yeah, in answer to your question, her life force was drained and she died in the coma around 6 months later.. Heartbroken? so was I.

Thus ruining one of the best characters on television. :(

Why the heck are you all telling him?!?!?!?!
He wants to know what happened to Cordy, I suggest he goes and watch Angel.
The show has the best character arc of both shows, Wesley, and Cordelias is brilliant too.
You've seen a few episodes The Ferg, do yourself a favour, watch Angel.

Ok, I think I get it, but how did Connor get so old so fast?

He was born in S3 of Angel, stolen and lived in a hell dimension for like 2 weeks - but time moved differently there.. Enough time passed so that when he came back he was 18..
Ok, I think I get it, but how did Connor get so old so fast?
I have to admit it's probably easier if you watch the show. Most of the questions we'll be answered. If you have trouble getting the seasons then I suggest searching for the transcripts. Although it's not quite the same as watching the series, it can still be a good resource for information. Even using links on Wikipedia can give you concise information on what happens to the characters. Although it's not the perfect source of general information, the Buffyverse sections are quite helpful for questions similar to the ones you are asking.

Alright, I have another question then. Should I get S1 of Angel to try it out, or just buy the Big Box Set with all 5 seasons? Either way, it's gonna be a while. I still wanna get S5, and S7 for Buffy first, and I don't have that money at the moment... :)

Get the Angel Box Set. It was 60 dollars on Amazon last time I checked.

Wow, that's a LOT less than the one at Best Buy!
Anyway, I'd actually almost rather buy S5 instead of S1... Just because it has Lorne (I just find him really interesting...), Spike, and, well... It looks better...
