Hey everyone! I just got Photoshop today, and I've been in it nonstop since. I started out with a few tutorials, and now, I've started doing stuff on my own. It's pretty much just me going crazy with textures, but oh well :D

Really though, you're doing... wow! Amazing work for such a short short time, really! Think my favourite so far is probably that Angel piece (really love the textures in it, it works really well with the promo shots). Your blending is really, really well done too, again especially considering that you're just starting out! I'm jealous inside!

Eliza is looking fantastic on one of your most recent ones, and I love the oh-so-hot pics you used for the Wesley banner (I believe it's your signature currently, hehe). One of my favorites is the Willow/Tara one though; it's beautiful and the color and style fits the couple.

Yay! Joyce/Gilesy goodness! ::hugs crazyflakes::. I may have spotted the part you were talking about, and if I'm right (I won't say it on here for the same reasons you stated) then I totally get what it was a pain and a struggle to do. Believe me. Haha.
I love that you used a lyric from Tales of Brave Ulysses (I was a Cream fan before this episode (Yes, I was a strange teenager, is that so wrong? Haha) so it's double squee), and it's a great line. One of my favorites actually right after 'touched the distant sands'.
Lurvly banner though. :)

That Xanya one looks fabulous too. Too great shots too, though the one on the left shows Xander to look as though he's singing something from Madame Butterfly to Anya, haha.

Those new banners, with your experimental color schemes, look fantastic. My favorites are the Dawnie one and the 'I'd Venture Yes' season 4 header. But they are all great.

The Eliza wall is great, and the new banners are fab too! I love the colouring technique you used, it looks good! Wow hun! I'm impressed! Been a little while since I checked in and wow! What have I been missing!?

Seeing Red Icons: I LOVE these. It's neat how you put them in choronological order, telling the story essentially of the episode. It really fools you into thinking it's one big piece! And I agree about the colouring, it compliments the photos and brings out Willow's rage that much more. Kudos for this one!

Hurricane: Whooooa! Are you serious? This one is so intricate and so DETAILED. I really don't know how you did this hun, it's beyond words! I wouldn't even know where to START with something like this, never mind its delivery! Having one Cordelia in the middle as the only colours in the piece was a great move, really caught my eye. And I may have said this before but so much of your stuff is just so CLEAR, I love it :D

Spuffy banner. All the coloring for this one made it really bright red or really bright yellow, but then, I came up with the brilliant idea of adding a layer of blue. Okay, I admit, it looks kind of weird, but it looks better than it did before.

Okay, I just made a wonderful discovery known as the polygonal lasso tool. All this time, I've been using the eraser tool to blend images (which is REALLY hard for me, because I have a laptop and no mouse, and thus have to use the little touchpad.) To celebrate my wonderful discovery, I made a couple banners that required lots of image cropping! Hurray!

Willow banner. I feel SO stupid right now because of this banner. When I first made it all rainbowy, I thought, "Ooh, it's fun and quirky and fits the character!" Then, I realized that it fit the character for an entirely different reason, and it resulted in me kicking myself repeatedly (mentally kicking myself, of course.) Finally, I decided, "Oh, too bad, I like it!" Maybe I'll make another banner like this with Fred instead (woo, it rhymes!)

Oh sure, I tell you I'll leave a long comment so you go and post about 50 more awesome things for me to talk about :silly: I know what you're doing ;)

Cookie Dough Banner: I know what you mean with the colouring issues! I had a heck of a time when I did my wallpaper for that scene, there's just something about the shading that makes it uncolourable I swear. I thought the banner turned out cute though! Simple, yet effective :D

Buffy/Angel: Like the mirror effect on this one, and the colouring although similar to the original, is off just enough to catch your eye. I really like you emphasized SMG's eye colour too, makes it pop that much more.

Spuffy Chosen Piece: Okay, so we all know how much of a spuffy shipper I am (not). But really, I thought this one was just beautiful! Adding the layer of blue was an excellent call, and it really turned out to be an awesome banner. If my signature weren't so big I'd be all over it, hun. From text size to photo choice and textures: it's perfect :)

Cangel Banner: I LOVE this one too, the idea is so original! The paper down below with the rest kind of cut off-- very different. And the writing behind Cordy/Angel really topped it off.

Rainbowy Willow: It's rainbow, it's Willow, and it's crazy cute. Think it'd be neat to try and make that into a background too (just a suggestion, of course!). And *laughs* I didn't even think of the rainbow thing until I read the caption, that's too funny! :D

Fred: Wow. Just wow. I really didn't think you could make something so interesting out of one photoshoot! The different sizes was brilliant, and putting the photos sideways? I NEVER would have thought of that! Great quality photos (again!), neat overlays, and that background grid-texture thing turned out working really well with the red. I wouldn't have thought it to but it really does! Kudos for trying about a zillion new things!


*phew* that was a lot of typing! Seriously though, you've got talent and the creativity to go along with it. Keep going! I can't wait to see more! :yay:

Oh, I got it at a site called Red Carpet Rebellion. They have a lot of really cool tutorials on there. It's where I get my textures, too :D

You mean how did I get it to look like it's sticking out? In my version of Photoshop (Photoshop CS), under Blending Options, you can check "Drop Shadow."

I made a new banner and a matching blend because I thought it'd look cool as a wallpaper. My goal for this one was to make it really dark, since most of my banners seem to be bright and happy...it still looks bright and happy, but hey, I tried!

You just keep dishing it out don't you? These two are, as you intended, totally different but equally fabulous. I love the rainbow strip effect on the first one- it's a nice contrast against the dark muted color of the rest of the background. Plus it's a stunning photoshoot of Sarah.
The second one is just as spectacular- I love the whole fire thing you have going on with it. :)

I come with more graphics! I'm afraid to say that I've become addicted to the thing where you duplicate an image, desaturate it, and put it over the colored version. It just makes things look less simplistic. And for some reason, I hate text more than ever, but everything looks so bare without it.

I don't know how you're getting those colours in your banner hun, but it's awesome! I LOVE that style, it's almost addictive! But really, very funny banner for sure, great photo choice! And the way you formatted the caption is really cool, I would never think of putting the box behind the text-- it works REALLY nicely! The look on the scoob's face is priceless!

Spuffy Blend "creature of darkness"
I'm not a spuffy fan (at. all.) but I'd use this background. It's breathtaking-- yet so simple! Really, you almost knocked me off my chair with this one! Major kudos!

"A Hundred plus years"
This one I have to say, probably my favourite so far. You really, really captured the emotion in that scene to a tee, and it's really striking. Just a perfect banner, brilliantly presented. I really don't know what else to say! The textures you used work really well too, they compliment the colour scheme well!

Yeah, I love the Angel Investigations one! Which is saying a LOT because normally, I think Angel is a big goob...at least in pictures. He's okay in his own show, but in pictures he always looks like, "Look at me, I'm Dreamy". But, I LOVE that one!
It could be the jeans.......rarely see the man in jeans on Angel....but I think it's just your work.

Ooh la la; two updates for me to ogle at. I love them all I have to say- even the Fresley one that you claimed you weren't too keen on. And the Batman one is stunningly done even if (And people don't hit me) I can't stand Batman (::RUNS FOR COVER::) and the Xander one really made me laugh.

My favorite has to be the Alyson one though. I love her red hair against the very white background and the added soft butterfly stencil-ish designs add the perfect touch.
