Can anyone point me in the direction of transcripts of commentaries from buffy? I could really use a couple in the paper i am writing for my class and itd be much easier to read them over then go back to the episodes and listen through them.

Reviving this thread since I found it in a Google search for commentary transcripts and I was wondering if someone would transcribe the first two minutes or so of the "Chosen" commentary for me? Basically until the end of the opening credits. I'm a new Buffy fan, just finished the series the other day. However, my season 7 disc 6 won't play "Chosen" despite playing "Touched" and "End of Days" as well as the special features. Well, that's not completely right. It plays "Chosen" after the opening credits (I've tested this by going to the scene selection and choosing scene 2 Suspicious Mind instead of scene 1 Basking For Trouble/Main Titles), but when I try to rewind and start from the beginning, it freezes up. Given that I purchased the season more than two weeks ago, the place I bought it won't exchange it. Given that I purchased the season more than six months ago, FOX won't exchange it either.

Just the commentary transcript? Iīll see what I can do later today. Not giving any promises and perhaps someone beats me to it.

Yep, just the commentary transcript, first two minutes or so until the end of the opening credits. Like my first thought when I bought the DVDs was to check the very last episode of a show I've never seen to see if it plays in my DVD player *rolls eyes* I managed to see the whole episode 'cause it's streaming on the Internet somewhere, but finding commentary is hard to come by.
Anyway, thanks, The Kinslayer! (PS. Willow rules! I loved it when she showed up in "Orpheus." Can't wait til I finish season 5 Angel :D Only fourteen more to go.)
(Re: your comment: Hehe, yep, I should hope to stick around. Just gotta be careful so I don't get spoiled for Angel 5x9-5x22 as well as Firefly/Serenity. Or any of the comics, hehe.)

So here goes, and I took it from the subtitles so there might be something missing but I donīt think so. And if this isnīt enough tell me ,and Iīll try to fix it.
Hi Iīm Joss Whedon and this is the very final audio commentary, on the very final episode of the very final season of Buffy.
If you actually has been through all the episodes and commentaries on all the dvdīs and you have a feeling of exhaustion, confusion and sort of a low-riding rage that you canīt really describe or understand then youīll know how I felt when we shot this.
To say that I was wiped out by the time we got here is the understatement of the world, and no scene, I think, showed that more than this one, because we had so little time to shoot so much. Which Iīll explain as we go to the credits.
You see, that was actually the first stuff we shot of the episode and we only had David for a little while, so
And I mean a really little while. I had about seven hours to do about ten pages. It all required everybody to be completely on point, but thatīs
With Nathan and Sarah and David thatīs what you get professionalism. Everybody was right on their mark and everybody worked really hard and it was a good start becasuse there was no episode we ever shot that was harder, bigger and that left less time for me to try and do anything interesting with the camera. It left less time for the DP to light and for everybody and everything to do their best work.
*credit ends*
And yet somehow people managed to.

Sweet, thanks Kin. And wow, they only had David for seven hours? That's seriously not a lot of time.
