I noticed it too (after someone pointed me that way *cough*). Well imo that shows what a great actor Tom Lenk is, you only got such a minor part at first but got called back for a much bigger, over different seasons and even shows spanning role.

Yeah I thought it was interesting that he seemed pretty much like the Andrew that he comes back as. I know they did it with Luke and The Judge as well... Where there any other double ups used?

I noticed this the first time I say that Btvs episode, couldn't believe it (had to keep rewinding/pausing the tape!), was a wow factor!

Andy Umberger played D’Hoffryn on Btvs and also played Doctor Ronald Meltzer in AtS "I Fall To Pieces".

Camden Toy had a long list of Btvs appearances: one of the Gentlemen in "Hush", the Gnarl demon in "Same Time, Same Place", a Turok-Han in season seven AND "The Prince of Lies" in AtS s5's episode "Why We Fight".

A little off topic, but apparently the actor who played "The Master" was also the dad in Twisted Sister's music video "We're not Gunna Take It" :D

Yup, Joss does like to re-use actors who did well in their first appearances.

Let's not forget the multiple Whedonverse appearances by Jonathan Woodward...Holden in Buffy, Knox in Angel and *cough* Somethingy Something whose name I can't remember in Firefly.

And not only these. Let's also remember that both Angel and Anya were supposed to be one time appearance characters and became permanent because the actors did so well (or so I've heard). It's a good thing to cast like this.

Ohh, and from Angel, Jasmine got to Firefly (I think; I haven't actually seen anything of Firefly)

And Summer Glau in Firefly and Angel (shes the ballet dancer in season 3 I cant remember the the episode name)
Nathan Fillion as Caleb in Buffy and Mal in Firefly. Thats all I cant think of at the moment that havent already been mentioned.

funny thing, i actually was going to start a thread where people could help me accumulate all of the "crossovers" in the whedonverse. i could think of a ton right now.

*..........running off to start the thread (actually, im gonna check to see if one exists first).*

Angel a one time appearance character? You donīt mean just one episode right? I donīt think they saw him as a three season character who would have an own show, but come on? Or do I just misunderstand?

Joss certainly likes his actors since he uses many of them in more than one show. Casting Eliza and Amy in Dollhouse just comfirms it. But I donīt know how many of them have played more than one character in the same show besides Brian Thompson, Camden Toy and Tom Lenk. Well of course Kali Rocha (who plays Halfrek) also played Williams (Spikes) love intrest, Cecily, in Fool for love. But I donīt think itīs a different character. It could be just like the Aud/Anya situation. Same person diffent names as human (before becoming demons) and as demon? Especially since Halfrek and Spike definitely recognizes each other in "Older and far away".

And Summer Glau in Firefly and Angel (shes the ballet dancer in season 3 I cant remember the the episode name)

Yeah... I just watched that eppy last night, where Tom Lenk (Andrew) played Cyrus, one of Harmony's minions. Too funny!

But also... from S-3, "Helpless" - the eppy of Buffy's 18th b'day, when Giles drugged her & she had to fight that insane vampire, Zachary Kralik ... he was played by Jeff Kober, who also played Rack in S-6, the warlock who got Willow high with the magicks & then later Willow killed him.

Cool huh? :D

Another crossover for you.

Jeff Ricketts who played Weatherby on Buffy (and Angel) also plays the freaky insect demon in the Angel S4 ep 'Sacrifice'.

That Andrew/ Cyrus episode is hilarious.

I didn't know Rack and Kralik were the same guy. Thanks for pointing it out.

There were a lot of people playing multiple parts.

I was especially fond of Sahjahn and the Werewolf Hunter.
They both had that dry humor that really made their characters shine.

I liked Jeff Kober in The X-Files. He stole the show . . . until his character died.

Carlos Jacott has also apeared in the three whedon shows:

1.Buffy - He played the evil Ken who lures Lilly`s boyfriend then Lily into the hell dimension , then Buffy rescues Lily and Crushes Ken with a gate , in "Anne".

2.Angel - He plays Richard the Man/demon who is hoping to marry Doyles wife Harry . Doyle doesn`t know he is a demon until the bachelor party when Richard wants to make a sacrifice of Doyle for good luck in the future , in " The Bachelor Party".

3.Firefly - He plays the agent in the pilot episode who travels aboard Serenity and is after River. Mal eventually shoots and kills him at the end , in "Serenity".

Yeah that's the one that I noticed instantly, the guys voice is so similar in both roles that it's hard to miss along with his acting style.

I totally rewatched "Real Me" last night and I did notice him! Funny I never saw that before...there's always more to uncover in Buffy ;)

Haha! I just watched this episode again about an hour ago and just realized andrew was a vampire!!! I kept rewinding and pausing the tape to make sure it was really him :p The first thing I thought was "I gotta tell the people on BB!" but..I guess you already know.

In the commentary for Hush Joss mentions that Andy Hallett is one of the students watching Buffy and Riley in the opening dream sequence teaser but I've never been able to spot him. The guy who plays D'Hoffryn and the creepy doctor in I Fall to Pieces is also a Captain or something for the Alliance in the first episode of Firefly (sorry if that was already mentioned).

A lot of the minor vampires and background cast are re-used throughout the episodes & seasons.
