Okay so this has been nagging me ever since I first saw season 6. So after the three nerds get the orbs and Warren is "Mighty Mouse" and him and Buffy fight, blah blah blah. He flies off using his jet pack and Jonathan and Andrew go to jail. Here is the thing that nags. Andrew is teary and keeps going on and on...

Andrew: He left me. He flew away and left me.

Jonathan: Oh, God. The bighouse.

Andrew: How could he do this to me? He promised we'd be together, but he's just using me. He never really loved... (pause and cover) ... hanging out with us. You think he'll come back for us? I mean, he wouldn't just take off, would he?

To me this sounds like, if they didn't have a 'relationship' they were propably sleeping together. I think that this is what Joss is alluding to. That Warren and Andrew had been sleeping together or at least slept together once.

Is there anyone else who thinks the same thing? Or do you think there is something else Joss is trying to get across?

I think I read somewhere that Warren, being the manipulative SOB that he was, would not be above using Andrew's (supposed) orientation to control him. I doubt that the uber-masculine, misogynist Warren ACTUALLY slept with Andrew; he was probably just leading him on. Even more to hate Warren for, I think.

DISCLAIMER:
I say "supposed" orientation because at no point does anyone OVERTLY say that Andrew is gay, but I think it's fairly obvious that he's at least bisexual, if not homosexual.

Andrew, i dont think is gay. Didnt he go on a date with a girl in Angel?(girl in question).
I really doubt they slept together, it definetly seems that warren manipulated him, and remember how Andrew was
with spike?(he loved him). it was probably the same with warren. Now its Giles.
He needs a Male icon in his life.

I think maybe joss would have liked to do a gay male character but thought it would be too big a risk.

I think Andrew was meant to be gay, but not fully aware of the fact yet, even if everyone else was. I think it was pretty obvious he loved (or had more than just friend feelings) for Warren. And subtler hints were continuously dropped. He said he thought Sam from Quantum Leap was hot (so did I when I was 12, but I got over it), and he described Jonathan as cute. And, in a funny scene in 'Storyteller', he walks into the lounge and Willow and Kennedy are kissing on the sofa, which, apparently, is a fantasy for most men, but he completely ignores them and instead says:

Look at the fine work Xander did on that replacing that window sash. You can't even tell it's new, it blends in so well. He's extraordinary.

Joss himself has more or less said Andrew is gay. For example, re: Girl in Question, Joss said:

It has to be said: the Andrew scene in "The Girl in Question" was a victim of me dropping the ball. I specifically said there should be a party of men AND women, all glamorous and Italian, waiting for Andrew. I wasn't there when it was shot, and didn't have the time/money/energy to change it after the fact, though it made me crazy.

Andrew's sexuality is always on the cusp of self-awareness because Andrew is stunted emotionally and because it's hilarious.

I always thought that he was gay, but he either was trying to cover it up for some reason, or just hadn't admitted it to himself yet, kind of like Larry in Season 3 before he came out.

And what about s8 where he plays strip poker with the slayers?I mean if he were gay why would he do that?(though come to think of it he does say that it is boring but i suppose he is being ironic..)I believe that mostly that line in s6 is just some erotic humor like the one between spike and willow(maybe we should try again etc) when Spike first realized of his chip..also in s4 of Angel we have the masturbation joke in "Spin the bottle"...generally the writers like these jokes so maybe it that's what it was..

I always figured that he was gay, but not out of the closet, in that he sort of refused to admit it to himself. I mean, he was always very complimentary of the girls and how they looked etc in Buffy season 7, but it always seemed to be in a non-sexual way, as opposed to the way he was with Warren and with Spike... who he practically drooled over at every opportunity.

Part of it was kind of the comedy of the character. Joss played to that "is he, isnt he" thing pretty funnily and light hearted. and i agree with all who said he was gay but hadn't admitted it to himself yet, or just doesn't want to deal with it. i wonder if it'll ever come up in season 8?

But no, im fairly certain warren and him weren't sleeping together. Was warren using his emotions? yes. But i think Warren thinks of himself as too "manly" to ever sleep with another guy.
