Why wasn't there ever a Buffy/Angel 2 hour episode.

I think it would be so cool if some hardcore baddie came the episodes before this double-epy that like, idk, was trying to rip California off the US (just a suggestion). Then the next episode Buffy, Xander, Willow, Giles, Spike, Oz, Tara, Anya, Riley, Dawn, Angel, Cordy, Wesley, Lorne, Gunn, Fred, and Connor all team up to kill this thing. Okay, this probably seems really corny, and over-the-top, but I think it would be totally kickass. What about you?

I think the issue was that Angel was finding its feet, and then Buffy switched networks, and there really just wasn't space in any storyline to make it work.

Well, they could've done it in one of the later seasons.

Which one? They were on different networks in later seasons! Well, except in Angel s5 when Buffy was already over, but that would've been even harder, seeing that they even had trouble getting SMG and Michelle Trachtenberg for one episode.

They were two completely different shows. Joss didn't want to dwell.

But still it would have been great because Angel appeared in buffy episodes even after the network switch so having more crossovers like in Orpheus. I think it could have been really good especially having Cordelia coming back to sunnydale.

I agree, probably it would be impossible to do episode like this.

But we can fantasize a little.
I think it would be great to see Buffy& Angel characters teamed up. For example Scoobies could see how Cordy and Wes changed since they left Sunnydale, new members of both gangs would get to know each other. It all could make really interesting storylines.
