Woot! :D
Channel10 Australia and CanWest Canada Snap up Dollhouse (http://www.dollverse.com/index.php/News/Latest/First-international-pickup.html)
Well that's one of my prayers answered :p Just hope Channel10 treat it better then they did Veronica Mars and such. And would be awesome if it aired in January with the US.. although I guess ratings periods are in March for us.

Fantastic! Good to see it's on channel 10, I was getting a bit worried I'd have to get foxtel for it!
I think the chances of it being shown at 11.30pm on a monday night are quite high.

Yay! Now I dont have to wait years for the DVDs :) and I also hope they treat it better than Veronica Mars and Tru calling. But at least we might be able to see a few eps :D

What time will it be aired?
If its like ch7 it'll start early, then get later and later. I remember Buffy re-runs being on 12:30 to 2:30 AM.
Mind you the ch10 treatment of Charmed wasn't much better season 8 was 6 episodes then a few months later they were shown at midday, after the DVD had been released.
Here's hoping it's put on at a reasonable time and doesn't get taken off every time some sport is on.

Hmmm....
So CanWest Global picked it up.
The question is....on which network will they place it?
Global....or E! ? (Canada's E! is NOT the same version that the U.S. has, though they do run a good deal of programming from that network;previously, this network of lesser stations it owns was known as CH.)

Wow...I remember the days of Buffy at 6 o'clock on BBC2 when the Simpsons wasn't on. Everyone at my school used to complain about it....but they all watched it! If Dollhouse was picked up by the BBC I would be ecstatic. They were in talks about Ripper though, weren't they, so they must take Joss seriously. I don't want to have to wait for the DVDs...and I don't really like Sky One. Perhaps it'll go to Sci-Fi, like the first series of Heroes, and the Angel re-runs.

I'm hoping BBC will pick it up, that means no ad breaks! :D

Good point, especially considering they are cutting half the ads on Fox. On the BBC it'll fit a 50 min slot (perfect for BBC 2 who like that kind of thing), but on Sky One it would be over an hour long. I don't see Sky cutting their advertising time somehow.
Another thought: I have heard it has tentatively been placed at 8pm on Fox. Does that mean it won't have to be butchered to be shown before the watershed? I know on FX the Buffy reruns are edited and they mess around with the Act breaks to compensate. (I still remember that VHS I had of OMWF taped from BBC 2 where everybody skips a beat in Where Do We Go From Here? so that Spike doesn't say "Bugger this!". That irritated me so much I ended up buying the entire DVD box set!). Considering the subject matter (especially the sexual connotations of the escort stuff), I cant really see , it airing as is at 8pm. Well, in America anyway. The BBC wouldn't mind.

As a sort of followup to my last post on CanWest Global getting the rights to Dollhouse:
It's now found a home on Global.

I'd love to see Dollhouse on the BBC, I know that the current run DR.WHO ends soon, if they give dollhouse the slot that DR.WHO will be vacating Sat 7pm (ish, it changes for sport) dollhouse may get the following it will no doubt deserve and it may even pick up some of the DR.WHO fans.
I really hated it when Buffy went over to Sky One, I can't abide adverts and will happily continue to pay for my TV licence (not like I have a choice, lol) for no ads on the BBC if they pick up Dollhouse.

8/7c is the first hour of primetime, yes. (Traditionally the "family hour".) But nowadays, especially as kids more and more have their own TVs and just watch cable, you see more and more not-so-kid-friendly content so FOX isn't going to cut anything out of Dollhouse. And besides, they only have two hours of primetime as opposed to the usual three...so they have limited options anyway.

That's good to hear. Well, not the whole degradation of society angle, but I want my Dollhouse uncut dammit!
