"The Official Buffy The Vampire Slayer Forum"

During the years that "Buffy" and "Angel" were still on the air in first run, there was an official forum sponsored by, I assume, the producers/network that I was a member of. Was anyone else here a member?

Are you talking about The Bronze? I was an avid fan back then, but unfortunately I was a fan without internet access until at least 2002....woe is me. And so I was never a member of the forum.

Question, if that is the one you're talking about, didn't one of the members get hired as writing staff at one point? Because I remember reading about that and thinking 'Whoa! Go you!'

No, the Bronze must've been a different one. We started a big "Get Spike A Soul" campaign around about the time he and Buffy were fighting Glory. I don't know if we influenced either Joss or the writers, but I like to think so. There were a whole lot of us trying to write fan fiction, and we would exchange ideas, work on dialog, and swap technical data.

Are you maybe talking about the Warner Bros. Buffy or Angel forum. There's a thread around here somewhere about what happened when the WB killed, either their Buffy, or their Angel forum. The fans didn't go gentle into that good night.

It was a fun board as official boards go. They couldn't control their membership. There was always trouble. And the Charmed fans we're always slipping over from the Charmed board, because Charmed was also a WB show. They'd come trolling for trouble, and they'd find it. It was a little hilarious.

I wasn't a member. I was to young then to use the internet much and plus I wasn't into Buffy that much when I was younger, I was scared of it...

Lol, honestly I always thought this was more or les the official Buffy Board. Well, it was the first thing that came up on google...darn, now you've bursted my dream bubble!

Well I wasn't a member either I can say pretty sure, because back in those days, I couldn't even speak English ;)
