Buffy Omnibus 2

Ive just started buying comics and just read buffy omnibus 2, im on the last story now but
i thought it was all pretty good.
Especially a Stake to the heart and Queen of hearts.
I love these Spike and Dru stories, and would love to see a mini TV series about
Spike and Dru's 100 year odd relationship.
But i was wondering if these omnibus and things like Asylum were classed as canon?
Because i dont wanna be buying a load of comics that aint even official buffy.:drunk:

Besides Buffy Season 8, Fray, After the Fall...I think most people only consider stuff that Joss had some direct involvement in to be canon:

Tales of the Slayers
Tales of the Vampires
Long Night's Journey (Angel)
Buffy: The Origin (possibly, cos it's based on Joss' screenplay.)

Is that everything (?)

There are some good stories by Buffy writers...Doug Petrie, Jane Espenson that feel very true to the show.

On the subject of non-canon comics. they show that there is so much more to do in Buffy/Angel.
They could and should make another few TV seasons of both shows.
I aint read too many comics but of the ones i have read, the best non canons are a stake to the and queen of hearts.
Im reading Auld lang syne which is turning out to be great, these are the kind of storys that would make good tv episodes. You would think there would be one company out there that would want to bring it back.
