Ok, for everyone who'd read the first character posts in this new RPG, I'm guessing you've caught on as to the premise by now.

Yep, that's right, we've flipped the entire verse on its head.
The Scoobies are the bad guys, with Buffy and Angel as the most vile, evil creatures ever to exist.
The vampires and demons are the good guys, with Darla leading the way to save her world from the Scoobies.

For anyone already cast, and you'd like to know which side you fall on, I've made a list below. Bet now you understand why we asked for the second audition! lol

Haha I love reading what's already been posted. I love how I wanted a second rpg only so I could partake in the part of Anya only for their to be a second one and Anya dieing in the first minute. Haha. I'm sure it was just a coincidence. So are all of the good characters evil and all of the bad characters good? I couldn't tell at first since Buffy killing Anya the way she did seemed like my view of B towards Anya ha Love it so far besides Anya dieing everything seems really cool, sorry I couldn't be apart of it but I'm sure I'll have fun reading up on it. Can't wait to see more.

Actually, I think Buffy's the ultimate baddie. But Xander's probably way up there on the evil scale! And I can't believe I'm just now realizing how unbelievably hot Evil Xander's gonna be.

Just FYI, because I like to have everyone on the same mental-imagey page if possible, I've imagined Oz's wolfiness as an actual wolf, not the shaggy gorilla thing he did in the show. So he'll be acting more like a wolf and not a person down on all fours.

Quick notes on Xander:
He is more muscly than for most of the series (but not gross looking). He takes pride in keeping his body fit, so that he can keep up... to the best of his physical ability to the super-villian gang.

OH! I kinda wanna play this game... [the coming up with awesome visuals for characters game, because I'm already playing this game, and I'm rambling, someone stop me...]

Dru likes...bright colors. White and pink and yellow. She wears lots of flowy, brightly toned shades. Like Tara in season five, except less neutral coloring to her clothing and more of a brighter, sunshine feel. I'd imagine Darla buys her clothes for her. Lots of peasant tops and pink lace skirts, that kinda thing.

She still has her dolls, but they're blonde instead of brunette and black-haired. They're porcelain, and not blindfolded. Their dresses match her clothing to a certain extent, and she only carries them around when she's in the throes of a particularly vile vision, because she's had them since she was turned, and she doesn't want to break them. She keeps them on a shelf, all lined neatly in a row. Darla dusts them for her.

Angel is very much the Angelus of Buffy season 2. His love of leather has been restored as has his favourite silk shirts. He also wears that chain that we saw him put on in the bedroom scene of "Innocence", why you ask? Well...uh...baically cuz it's hot:D

Okay, so appearance-wise, Willow is almost exactly like the Evil Willow we see in season 6. She has dark hair that's a few inches below shoulder-length and wears primarily black clothing, but her her eyes aren't black and her face isn't all veiny unless she goes into evil witch mode.

Man, it's harder to seem creative when you're character's already been evil twice. Oh well.

Well, since EVERYONE else is doing it...

Darla, vampire, leader of the 'White Hats', is soft and gentle and a mother to all the strays that seem to flock to the mansion on Crawford Street that she calls home. She takes care of Drusilla, the daughter she never had, and does her best to make sure Dru is healthy and happy. Darla wears a lot of light colours, white gossamer dresses. As the sire of Angel, once Angelus, she feels responisble for every death he causes. She feels responisble for the fact that Willow restored his soul and will to anything to get him back on the 'right side'. Darla's mission is to neutrailize the threat present by Buffy Summers.


BTW...anybody else notice that we've got a Tara AND an Oz?! Can you say confused?!

I'm thinking Oz isn't with Willow, if that helps. I think he's a bit confused about where he stands and the evilness of Willow would have put him off. Unless it's necessary for the plot that he's with Willow.

Hmm...yeah, I'm thinking Tara and Willow would be together together (but it all depends on what Jenny thinks of it, of course.) Oz's whole "wolf equals good" thing would definitely put Willow off...because she's evil, I don't think she has the mentality to say "Oh, it's only for three nights." Then again, I'm also very biased towards Tillow, so yeah, like I said, it all depends on what Jenny wants to do.

I was sorta thinking that Oz would be a closeted White Hat. Everyone knows he's a werewolf, yeah, but I'm thinking they'd just expect the wolf to be bad because the human is. Oz would be, like, keeping the confused thing to himself, maybe? If you're cool with that, Bear?

And I'd totally go for Tillow if Jenny agrees.

OK so I went with Tillow. I'm also picturing Tara as she looked in Once More With Feeling during the Under Your Spell scenes. I feel like she would look as sweet as she always does, with a hidden (and disarming) sadistically evil undertone. Does that make sense? :)

I can play the confused thing close to the chest. I have a feeling that Oz won't be hanging out much with either side for the first little bit, though. However, an agreement with the WHs to spy on the BHs because they'll assume he's evil because of the werewolf thing. . . . Hmmm. . . .

K... slight editing of Xander's character:

He's muscly, and has a season 3 mentality of his masculinity bouncing by a thread. He's sometimes self-effacing, but at other times has a very strong hand. He is trying to establish himself... but is feeling repressed by Angel. Although he acts cool around the rest of the group, (and would be happy as a clam if the white hats were wiped from the face of the earth) he is hungry to find his nitch.

...unsure of relationship status, and I thought about Xander being gay... 'cause I think that would be a fun twist, and I could do some conflicting things with an underlying attraction to Spike... but it doesn't go with the rest of the character.

Maybe Cordelia... but not sure on that one. What do you think, VisionGuy?

I'm confused. When exactly does this take place? Because I was under the impression it was after they graduated from Sunnydale High. That's why I incorperated Cordelia being broke, getting the visions, and still working at April Fool's isntead of persuing a college education.

I've been thinking about Glory's character as a good guy, and I was wondering what people thought about an idea I had. What if, since this is Bizzarro world, instead of coming from a Hell dimension she was from a Heavenly one instead. It would certainly give her motive to make the world a better place (but not in a Jasminey way!). Just a thought.

Yeah, it looks like we have diverted from that path. That happened when I was on vacation, I came back to a high school scene that wasn't supposed to be there!

Short of modifying everyone's posts to remove the high school and replace it with college, there really isn't much we can do.

I can change the setting to college, Xander might have just done better, or used magic to get into college, and Giles could have bullied his way into the job at the library.

Alright, college sounds good! I didn't think high school would make much sense in the darker setting anyway. I'll post as soon as I figure out something for Willow to do.

Does it matter? If Cordy had stayed in Sunnydale, she wouldn't have had visions, anyway, so none of this is following the original plotline anyway.

It was more to do with the fact that Tara, Darla, Dawn and now Glory wouldn't have existed pre-season 4 or 5. Yes, this is an AU piece, but when we came up with this idea, we were basing this on an actual point in the show which would give us the maximum amount of characters to use.

From my own experience, most parents want their kids to go on to bigger and brighter things, and a college education would be part of that.

You could use something like he has a trust fund from his parents, but he can't access it until he has a college degree.

Question for The Heartist: Is the thing (tattoos?) that Spike has rendering him completely invisible to all senses, mystical and regular, or just to the vampire sensing-each-other thing? More specifically, would Oz be able to smell him?

Ok, I've just thought of something. I'm a good version of Glory, right. So, in this reality, am I Ben too? And, if so, is he evil? (I know, I know, should have been the first thing I thought of...). So, would it be good for the RPG to have Ben emerging and helping the Scoobies every now and then? In the show, they didn't remember what each other did, so it could work. There's just the problem of no-one else remembering the transitions. (Except Spike, IIRC. Was that cause he was a vampire, or am I making things up again?)

So basically, Glory and Ben, or just Glory?

But with Glory being a good guy and all and presumably wanting to consider her little group would she confess to them her Ben weakness? So they know there's always that risk? Or would she be too ashamed and worried about what they'd say that she'd keep it secret?

And as for Spike knowing about the transition I always presumed it was because at that point Glory's spell was starting to weaken and people were beginning to remember. Like at first NO ONE remembered, and then just non-humans such as vampires until eventually the rest of the gang remembered too. I may have interpreted that wrong though....but if we did consider it that way then that would mean we could keep Spike as clueless as everyone else.

I think a Ben change would be best kept for a special occasion. I think he would have more of an impact that way. Developing our characters now and then flipping the script would work for the best.

Did Spike see a transition before the spell wore off? I don't think he did. That would have made it clear cut. He didn't seem to have any trouble realising and remembering it though. Moreover, her little minions are non-human, and they don't seem affected. It's a bit of a problem, since Darla, Dru and Spike are all Vamps. We could just choose to interpret it the other way though. Artistic liscence and all that.

If we were to choose to take it in that direction, I think it could work quite well. That way, Glory could tell Darla and Dru about Ben all she likes, but they just wouldn't remember. Glory wouldn't know what she was doing, since she doesn't have her little minions to report back. Would she even know what was happening? She and Ben would just have blackouts. It's something to think about.

To reply to people's questions and general wanderings:

The Spike remembering who Ben really is debate: It definately is because Spike is a vampire. I just watched Weight Of The World and The Gift, and he mentions in both that it is his vampiric nature that makes him immune to the spell, as it can only effect the living. It is because he points out the truth to the Scoobies that it begins to fade.

Blondie Bear's question: Yes, the tatoos are the same ones Lindsey went and got himself in season five of Angel (You're Welcome) and would keep him undetectable by all supernatural means, like scrying spells, e.t.c. as well as enhanced senses. If you remember rightly, when Lindsey had them, Angel found himself an even match in battle. I would chalk this up to his supernatural sense being unable to read Lindsey's movements the same as he would a regular opponent. Angel was only bale to win through superior fighting techniques (and a little help from Cordy.) So yeah, no smells, nothin' And by now, I'm sure you've all guessed what the ring is that Spike is carrying...

ETA: Spike's ability to tell the difference between Glory/Ben didn't come into play until it was integrated into the plot (as we've established already) even though he had the potential to know the difference the writers kept that waylaid for the audience.

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. As Lyri announced a couple of posts ago, I finally got my hands on Giles... at least in an RPing kinda way.

Since we were all playing the character makeover game the other day, I figured I'd offer up my opinion on what evil Giles looks like. Mmm. Giles. Mmm. Ripper. Me imagining Giles' appearance is a dangerous activity! Anywho, I'm guessing he'd look like season 4 Giles, only with a bit more of a Ripperish edge to his attire (meaning, I guess, that he wears the earring that he wore at the Espresso Pump).

I'm going to go study the Ripper side of Giles' character now. I'm thinking I'll rewatch a few Gilesey episodes like Band Candy. *Rolls eyes.* That is such a chore. Honestly. The things I do for you BBers. Hehe.
