Who Dies Next *Possible Spoilers*

Since Joss seems to love killing his characters off just to upset his fans, I thought maybe we could get in the act, too, so here we go'

A character on "Buffy, The Vampire Slayer" has to die, and it has to be one of the regular players. By "regular," I mean someone who has had a part in at least the majority of the episodes in at least two seasons, fighting on Buffy's side, not the opposition.

The most obvious would be Satsu. In fact, if someone had told me that someone was going to die (or nearly die--shut up, I haven't got the new issue yet) in WatG, I would have guessed Satsu because it's just so damn Joss to pull something like that. I probably wouldn't have pegged Renee as being a major enough character to be the one to go.

If it's "Who's going to die?" I'm going with BB and saying Satsu. I like her a lot...it's just that they've done everything to set up her death. At this point, they might as well put a huge sign around her neck that says "Kill Me!"

But if I have to choose someone from the show to die, I'd say Xander. Now, don't get me wrong; I absolutely adore Xander, and feel like he is one of the most important characters on the show. I just really want to see how the rest of the Scoobies would react with him gone. Everyone says he's useless and everything, but my guess is that, if he went away, chaos would ensue.

If you ladies will re-read the conditions required for the victim, they must be in at least two seasons of the show. Satsu hasn't even completed a single season yet. Your choices would be one of the Scoobies, Giles, Spike or Angel. The ones who have already died (Joyce, Jenny, Jonathan, Anya, etc, don't count because they are already dead.)

I'm gonna go for Dawn...it'd be just like Joss to hand Buffy this mantle of leader of the Slayers, and then take away her only real family member, leaving her totally isolated.

it would make for an interesting buffy story and could potentially take her character anywhere... she's lost her mother, her sister, it could push her to the dark side.
also, she just irritates me!

People are curious as to what happened to him, how a life without Willow has been, and what his future has in store.
Bring him back, set him up for something good and then kill him.
Maybe even have him take a wolfy nip out of Xander on the way out, just for old times sake.

That'll raise some hackles!

What's with all the Dawn hateage I'm sensing? She rocks...

Anywho, why, and where, I think there's a large-ish possibility that we won't know who's gonna go until the moment it happens. But if I had to put some sort of currency on it, I'm not sure who I'd vote for...

I definitely agree that at the point of Season 8, it would have been Satsu. I thought Renee at first, but after killing Anya that would be a low blow for the Xand-man (and I also don't think she's a hugely major character). I also think any possibly killing off of Kennedy would be far too repeat of what happened with Tara.

Faith has a key role in the series it seems (and little reason to be killed off), and Giles is far too loved I think to go down the tubes. Same goes with Xander/Willow, both have been in the gang from the start, and I really don't think that the show would be the same without them (although I could see Joss killing off Xander down the line-- as much as that may send me into depression).

That leaves Satsu and Dawn. And I think that after the huge build-up around Dawn's birth, it'd almost be awkward to kill her off now. So my vote also has to rest with Satsu. Although I don't mind her character thus far, it's just the way the Buffyverse seems to work. I think that out of everyone, she would be the most likely candidate :(
