Sarah to be in Veronika Decides to Die

Sarah is currently shooting a movie adaptation of the book Veronika Decides to Die. Sarah plays Veronika, a woman who wakes up in a mental institution after a failed suicide attempt. She discovers that she has a weakened heart and only days to live. The film follows her recovery as she finds true love and a newfound will to survive. The movie comes out in 2009.

Sounds interesting. I haven't read the book but I heard that it's really good. I wonder how will the movie be like. I'd love to see Sarah in some new great role!

I'd love this to be a big movie break for Sarah. And it definitely has potential and completely differs from her usual film choices that seemed to have dubbed her 'Scream Queen'. At least according to reviews and critics. Plus, this sounds like a film I can actually watch without hiding behind my hands from fright.

I hate to say it but I think this will bomb. SMG cannot open films, people seem to be actually put off by her and I actually think this role is similar to alot she has done. I immediately thought of the return for some reason. I'd love for her to do well, I just don't see it happening.

I don't know, I've read the book and thought it was lovely. I think this role suits SMG and I believe that she can pull it off really well. But we'll see...she's been having bad-movie karma for a while now. I'm definitely going to check it out and am quite excited for the release actually.

I was excited to hear about this movie. I saw a picture of her filming this movie in the magazine In Touch. She was standing in a rowboat, pouting!

I just want her to have a movie that goes to the theaters (where everybody can see it, not just select people in three cities)

I really hope that finally Sarah will have a big movie break, because what has she had other than Cruel Intentions that was really successful? Other than Buffy of course. I haven't read the book but it sounds like a great plot and I think Sarah will play the role brilliantly. This is one I'll be looking out for, and like SpikedBuffy said, I hope it goes to the theaters so people can enjoy it :)

Surprisingly I'm really looking forward tot his film. I hear it even has an Oscar buzz! I'm hoping this is finally a good box office hit for Sarah she really needs one after the poor films she's been doing.
