How does Buffy get into the Doublemeat Palace if it’s “after closing”?

Just something to ponder...

Erm, not to go for the simple obvious answer but she is the Slayer. And breaking in isn't beyond her as we saw in A New Man when she broke into the magic store. I think we can say she pretty much 'found' her own way into the place.

Haven't you noticed that almost nothing in Sunnydale is ever locked up? The high school, the Bronze, the "old vineyard" from Season 7, filled with enough to keep the entire town drunk for a week, the warehouse where Xander gave Buffy his "once in a lifetime" speech about Riley. Maybe all of the demons lurking around in the bushes at night kept the human populace at home behind closed doors with no thought of breaking and entering anything at the risk of being eaten alive. For whatever reason, the doors in Sunnydale are almost never locked.

Watching this now, I'm not to keen on it.

The start though with Buffy feeling like a 'tool' after Anya's speech is hilarious.

Manny doesn't have time to lock up, being killed by the old lady got in the way.

I wonder what time the Double Meat Palace even closed. Especially since Buffy was working a 16 hour shift at one point.

"Another 8 hours....right after these 8 hours?" *cue Buffy pout*

^ I've forgotten already what time her shift started but I've got 9 in my head from somewhere. So from that, it's open till 1am.

I have one the same just around the corner from me. I once walked through the drive through and got some food at like 3am with some friends, it was weird.

It was after a night out and I was a tad drunk, I lay off alcohol now though and don't drink too much bad times. I can't remember if we were made to walk to the next window to pick up our food. Would be funny though if they did.

The Doublemeat Palace may not have had a breakfast shift. That would mean that they wouldn't open until 11:00 or so, which would mean that someone opened up maybe as early as 9:30, but more likely 10:00. That would make the first shift 10 AM til 6 PM. The second shift probably overlaps the first, in order to handle the dinner rush, so figure it to be 5 PM to 1 AM, and business would be very VERY slow after about 8 PM, what with the local demon situation and all. Sunnydale probably doesn't have much of a (human) late night crowd. Little Old Miss Worm Head might not have been the only demon who liked a late night Doublemeat snack.

lol theres a McDonalds about a ten minute walk from me at the local ASDA (i hate and detest that place at the same time.... i have a vengeance against ASDA...anywhos)

im the same with alcohol now, i mean wheres the fun when you're aloud to do something....

but i have no idea if the McDonalds stays open for the ridiculous hours ASDA stays open for.......not that i can think of anything from there when i've still got naan bread looking at me from over there.

oh micro chips, the stable food of the high school years (when we didnt, and i still dont, know how to cook....) handy that my friends father owned some local shop (not a local shop for local people, well it was... but not in that way) so we just picked up food of the stick-in-the-microwave variety bampf along to hers, get our episode of buffy in and then back to school. i need coffee or something, im watching 'him'.... i got all emotional at the end of 'selfless' and dehydrated since i forget to do anything else but watch buffy...

(lol dawn just made the 'no-one expects the Spanish inquisition' joke LOL)

you know what made me laugh with the doublemeat palace (apart from everything) is how Joss said that making fun of fast food got the advertisers all uppity and annoyed... and not like all the violence, death and sex...lol
