Out Of My Mind Unaired Scenes???

Does anyone know of any unaired footage from “Out Of My Mind”? I’ve seen some pictures that aren’t depicted in the episode. Was, maybe, more of the scene filmed and then it had to be edited for TV? (Like, I know this happened with “Smashed”) I had all the DVDs and it’s not on there…(even though the “Smashed” unaired footage is)
I know the scene ends with them standing up (kissing) and then it cuts to Spike awake in bed – but they don’t get on the floor…like in the picture. So, has anyone else noticed this? Is this picture from the extended scene, unaired?

There are always tons of unaired scenes, some left out because of content (a flubbed line, a prop not working properly, a costume accidentally showing an inappropriate amount of the actor wearing it, or whatever, others just never used in favor of a different version of the individual scene), some because another shot works better in context with the story, or maybe just because somebody in authority didn't like it. It would be great if Joss would compile a "blooper reel" disc containing some of the funnier ones, but I heard somewhere that he doesn't want to do that for some reason.

The only other edited thing I can think of was from "Dead Things," and it was another hot Spuffy scene. And, hey! My DVD doesn't have the footage from "Smashed!" Now I'm annoyed.

i was about to say the same thing, where is this extra "Smashed" footage? it was spoken about in the commentary i think but never shown.

I always thought that 'extra footage' was publicity shots?

Yes, there was a part that didn't make the cut. Here it is, from the script:



Ripping open his shirt, he bares his chest to her. She raises her stake to strike, then hesitates. They lock eyes.

Then suddenly, Spike grabs Buffy and plants a KISS on her. Her stake clatters to the floor. She pushes him off, takes a step back; her face registering pure shock. Her hand goes to her mouth. Then her tongue licks her lips lightly.

And then she grabs his head, pulls his face towards hers, kissing him back, passionately now, pressing her body against his.

He pulls her head back ROUGHLY, thrusting her neck forward and kisses it. She MOANS softly.


BUFFY
I want you, Spike.

He presses his body against hers, running his hands down her back. She moans softly.

She CLAWS at his bare chest, scratching him with her nails.


SPIKE
(overwhelmed)
Slayer...

And then she PUSHES him hard, knocking him to the ground. She straddles him, GRINDING against him. She supports herself on her arms, brushing his face with her hair, teasing him.

Spike pulls her arms out from under her, so that she falls on his chest. He rolls her over, so that now he's on top.


SPIKE
Oh Buffy. Buffy I love you. God I
love you so much...

YouTube... I will have to play on there for awhile. Also, Easter Eggs are on some of the discs. I have found a couple... can't remember where right now, but if you go on google, and look up Buffy Easter Eggs you can find extra stuff that Joss and Co put on the discs.

Funny, I was looking at that today. Sadly there isn´t much. There are already threads on this topic if you do a search for "easter eggs". The recordsigning on OMWF is supposed to be 3 minutes (according to my findings), and my copy only has 1:40. It´s unfair.

That's ironic. :) I have found some other things, like the images that appear before The Gift when it was aired is on the S7 disc, and there are some others. That's weird that your OMWF extra is shorter. I guess I didn't pay attention to the time on mine... I should go back to that. Now I want to go back, and find the others... maybe this should be a separate thread, though. I'll start one up on the Inside Out board, if anyone's interested in finding Buffyverse Easter Eggs, you can post them there. I'll include a link to it after I start it.

The Spuffy scene in Smashed wasn't edited out on the DVDs, was it? Maybe it was just cut from the individual season 6 DVDs. I have the Chosen Collection, and that scene was in it (as was the scene on the balcony in Dead Things.)

As far as the promo shot from Out of My Mind goes, I've also seen the picture with Buffy and Spike on the ground. They probably shot a take with them on the ground, used a promo picture from it, then scrapped it.

Try "Buffy hot uncensored sex scenes" on youtube. There are several there, including the "Smashed," and "Dead Things" scenes.

The deal with the Smashed scene is that the whole scene in on the DVD but it wasn't all shown when it was aired on TV. Like, they cut it earlier. When they aired it, they cut it right before they fall down onto the basement floor. I heard the network said it was too graphic.

Yes! That's it! What I saw a picture from...so it must have been filmed but never made it on the DVD...
