Oh, I absolutely love the newsletter. The story by N4H was a treat to read so thanks so much for sharing your story. The graphics used were wonderful and I love that it brings everyone together recognizing us is a fun way. Thank you mods for giving us this great new addition to the Boards.

Damn, I thought I was gonna be the first to post feedback but you beat me to it DDD! Curse you! Haha.
Besides, you also said my thoughts. I thought it was very well put together, and I love all of the different features mentioned (the ones to come etc) and the graphics were very nicely placed and done. N4H's piece was an entertaining read as well, especially the talk of Internet Cliques. How I know about them! Haha.
And hey, you know what made this newsletter even better? I was in it! Haha. Member of the Month huh? Very cool. That gave me a grin and a half....kinda like the Cheshire Cat but less scary. And cat like. And also less purple....

I just wanted you to know how honored and surprised I was that you would consider anything that I might say as worthy to be considered as the "Quote of the Month," when there were so many far better things said by other members. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I think a newsletter is a great idea. I see BB a little bit like my second family and so it's always nice to see the people telling stories, being honored, asked for their opinion etc.
Also, I like how there's a mention of all the new members that joined the previous month, that's something family like again, how you welcome them all here.
What I would change about the newsletter is maybe include a corner where members can give short announcements about something special in their lives, like 'Member X has just graduated from college' or 'Member Y gave birth to a child this month'.

Cudos to everyone involved. Loved the newsletter. Can´t wait to the next one. And as far as being mentioned, wow! I who wasn´t even sure I was gonna post at all then I registered. Funny how things work out.

Yeah, that would be great. I´m sure they´ll include that as long as we give them something to put in.

Um....did I mention I love it? LOL! Sorry, I can't think of anything specific to comment on. I think the whole concept is just great, and the presentation was awesome. Major KUDOS to all who put their efforts in to bringing it to us. Wonderful!

loved the newsletter, especially the sound off... the whole getting kicked out your first forum, people in other forums are mean to newbs and actually call them that in a derogatory way.
This place is the Best. Forum. Ever.
truley is, unbelievably friendly and warm and fuzzy. Everyone is soooo helpful and come on we have dorms.... i've never seen that on another forum, or a fantastic newsletter like that with member awards, and everyone gets recognition here. Big family.

For the second month in a row, the newsletter is a delight to read, and filled with B B information. Also, for the second time, I am surprised, complimented, and truly humbled (who am I kidding? I'm thrilled and overjoyed, and I've been sitting here getting muscle strain from patting myself on the back. I'm human, after all) that anything that anything that I might write might deserve notice in light of the many fine writers here on the Boards. Thank you, Jenny, for honoring me in such a fashion, and the money will be delivered, as promised, in cash in a plain brown envelope. Don't spend it all in one place.

My only suggestion for the newsletter is that it be daily, and delivered to my doorstep each morning so that I have something fun and interesting to read with my breakfast.
I love it! It's a great way to keep track with what's going on around BB. Keep up the good work (and remember me for September's member of the month! lol)

My only complaint is that Mozya's first inking was recognized, while mine was not. I'm gonna go cry.
In fairness I only mentioned it in my house dorm though and once in that tattoo thread. So it's kinda my fault.
Still gonna go cry.

I wouldn't take it personally, young lady. If their was an omission, it was not a deliberate slight.
The Newsletter team do good work and try their best to accomodate...but they can sometimes be swamped by offline life, and when working to get the next issue out onto the Boards, some things may get accidentally overlooked.
Having said that, allow me to offer our apologies to you and anyone else whose work has not yet been recognized in BB print.
Please don't be discouraged from contributing in the future, Randiann. The Newsletter is still in it's infancy and can only improve.

My apologies randiann! As Old Master III said, we do our best to track down as much member news as we can before posting the newsletter. But we're still in the early issues and BB is a big place, so sometimes news can fall through the cracks. So please don't be discouraged, it really wasn't intentional!
And just a note to everyone, if you do have something happen in your life that you think is newsworthy (or you learn some news about a fellow member that you think would be worth mentioning) please do feel free to PM Jenny or I and let us know! Don't be shy! :)
Sorry again randiann and to anyone else who we might have missed! We'll do our best to try and find everybody!

Oh, come ON now, people.
130+ active members, and the Newsletter only manages to average 3 feedbacks a month? Wut up wit dis?! :p
~angelic slayer~ works real hard on these when Mod Jenny's not around to shoulder the other half of the load, and it's a shame to watch how little love this thing is getting at this juncture. So how about it, folks? :: tu ::
Staff hates deleting stuff from the Board due to lack of interest. It's depressing. :p

I'm here! Sorry, I've been busy.
I'm very flattered that my post was picked to be shown off in the Newsletter.
OH! And something that didn't make it in but I want to brag about anyway--one of the articles I wrote during grad school was accepted for publication in the Journal of the Fantastic in the Arts! It comes out in mid-December, and as soon as I get my copy, I'll scan it to pdf so y'all can see it. :)

ARGH! How did I miss it?!?
Ok, ok, it's my own fault. I should have remembered when the MotMs came up. I'm going to blame it on the delay. Yes.....not my fault at all....
Ok, the Newsletter. Randiann's tattoo is very nice. That's dedecation!
The new question for next week though.....How are we supposed to narrow it down?!?!? I mean, we have Tara, and Kennedy, and Cordelia, and Cordonnor and.... I'll have to have a good think about this one. I loved the colour question: OM was spot on! Nice question SoF!
Argh! The deadline for this one is in 8 days?!? I need to get working. Fast.
Finally, thank you ~AS~ and Jenny! I love this thing, and just because people don't comment on it doesn't mean it's not appreciated, I'm sure.

I dont want to butt in and tell people how to do their job, but since I am so damn good at it I think I will. The first section up is BB news, for whatever reason, I think that is in regard to announcements about the yin and yang. I never even think about the newsletter being in there.
Maybe under the News section you add one forum, just for the news letter. So it would show up there bright and bold every-time it is updated. I think it is too easily overlooked.. out of sight, out of mind kinda thing.

Great newsletter this month!! I especially liked SOF's essay on what keeps her coming back to BB, very well written and right on the money! Also liked Old Master 3.0's color assignments, so well thought out and personalized, it was impressive, and I'm Puerto Rican too so I did a little Boricua cheer when I read that Vision Guy and Old Master 3.0 are as well
