Assuming you've seen Runge's work in issue #9, who do you like more on Angel?

I always liked Urru.
Brian Lynch (over at the IDW forums) says Runge's work gets better on the next couple of issues and that he (Runge) wasn't real happy with some of the panels but they ran out of time to re-do them

That's good news.
Thanks for passing it along.

ya know, its facinating to me how pressed the comic book guys are to put out an issue. i mean, joss and the gang have about 8 days to shoot an entire episode of buffy while the comic book guys have 30 days! it doesnt really make sense in my head.
however, you cant argue with reality. it is what it is.
if anyone is interested in how and why comics take alot longer to make than a tv show, you should really pic up the "buffy - panel to panel" comic book. not only is it a steal for $20, the narrative on each page is by scott allie and he give the an awesome insight into the world of comic book writing, drawing and editing.

i have to go with urru mostly due to the fact his art doesnt jump back and forth like runge. how ever i am willing to give runge a chance to make up for the last comic

I'm probably in the minority here, but I loved Runge's work. I haven't seen issue #9 but I loved his Wes/Fred stuff in #7.

Sometimes Runge perfectly captures the actor's faces, sometimes he's more than a little off. Urru's faces look less like the actors, but more like the characters and his tone fits the series better.

Runge gets my vote. I admit that a lot of Urru's stuff looking like crap had to do with his colorer, but it was too cartoony for me. Runge has yet to get his sea legs as far as released works, but I think opinions will be changing soon.
