Hmm, apparently we don't think a lot of this episode or rather don't have a lot to say on it.
Although this episode never sticks out prominently in my mind when I think back on the season, whenever I watch the episode itself I always thoroughly enjoy it.
And even though she was evil and she hurt Giles, I really loved Gwendolyn Post. I thought she was an excellent character (And thankfully played by an excellent actress) and really, in retrospect, it's a shame that her betrayal didn't last over a few episodes rather than it all just happening in the one. It would have been a nice mini-arc, we would have had more fun with her character and her chemistry with Giles and it would have made the betrayal and her death even more shocking.
And this was our first Buffy and Faith fight. Who else had been waiting for this to happen since Faith showed up? They were just too getting-on-y since the events of Faith, Hope and Trick and I was just waiting for the tension to pop up again. Haha. And it was a very nice foreshadowing of the hand-to-hand fight in Graduation. Faith initiating the first kick, smashing through the window, fighting outside...

So I finally found where the discussion was and then there isn't much of it? OK, I'll try to add something before this episode closes. I have only seen Revelations once yet, so I don't remember it too well, but wasn't this when Willow finally got a kiss from Xander? Although her true callings may lay elsewhere, I for one was glad that at least she got the chance to lay this thing to rest...

I don't think her death could have been ANY more shocking! :)
...being incinerated by lightning and all. :)
I'm surprised to see so little discussion for this since this is the second time in this season that the scoobies confronted Buffy about something... however, this time I think it's more understandable. Still, Xander is completely annoying in that capacity again. The way he treats soul-having Angel the same as non-soul-having Angel and blames him for the things he's done annoys me.
I think the biggest most significant thing to come out of this episode is the further seperation of Faith and Buffy. Faith isolates herself at the end, even with Buffy trying to make amends. This isolation is the start of the slippery slope she finds herself on in the upcoming episodes.

This is my fave Faith ep in season 3.
I actually feel very sorry for Faith in this one. She was getting along with Buffy and her friends and things never really recovered after this.
Faith was just sad and lonely and she must have secretly been really happy to have a new Watcher that 'cared' about her, she would have hoped for what Buffy and Giles had. She even didnt help Giles out just so she could impress her new watcher.
And it shows how much, due to circumstances, she hates herself, that the Scoobies accepted it wasnt really Faiths fault, because everyone of them was tricked by Gwen Post. But Faith just couldnt imagine that Buffy could like her coz she didnt even like herself.
This is when i really warmed to Faith.

Good comments. I think the first crack in her friendship was when her and Buffy were patrolling on the street together. The conversation turned to Angel, and Buffy held back telling Faith the truth. We know Buffy wasn't telling ANYONE about Angel, but you can see looking at Faith's reaction, that she thought Buffy wasn't telling her because it's her. Everytime Faith starting believing that she found someone to connect to, something would happen that would prevent it.
