I absolutely LOVE this show! It is another one of those shows that got cancelled waaaaay too early. I own the box set as well and I just got Undeclared which is another show by Judd Apatow about college it is really funny as well. My favorite character is Nick Andopolis, he is just great with his gigantic drum set!

This is one of the best shows ever aired on television. Period. It really sucks it wasn't able to get more than a cult fanbase. But Judd Apatow got the last laugh, at least, he's released several successful movies that are in the same vein/same feel as "Freaks & Geeks" and "Undeclared".
Go Judd!

It only went for a short time didn't it? I used to watch it sometimes and then it disappeared. Wasn't the dude from How I Met Your Mother in it too? I just looked it up on IMDB and yes, Jason Segal was in it. So was our very own local potential slayer Amanda (Sarah Hagan).

Yeah, from the looks of the episode count, I think NBC must have ordered a full, 22-episode season (otherwise there'd only be 13 episodes), and then changed their mind and decided not to produce the whole back nine. I absolutely LOATHE it when that happens, but fortunately, not counting shows effected by the strike, the last show that I watched that had that happen was ABC's "Complete Savages".
But seriously, if a network orders the full season, they should at least have the decency to let the full season be produced, and just inform the producers they won't be back for another year. Then those final few episodes could be used to provide some sense of closure.

Freaks and Geeks is one of those shows that keeps getting mentions on Buffy-Boards. I finally checked it out after Kinslayer posted this...
YouTube - Freaks and Geeks intro (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAoXs4Veuog)
I thought I'd just watch one ep, to see what it was all about, but from the moment Lindsay turns up in her army jacket with "I'm a girl. Try me" I was loving it. I had to see all the eps marathon style, and pretty much instantly. I've watched all the eps several times now.
So many great bits. Kim's sly little look when she watches Lindsay rebel against peer pressure and dance enthusiastically with the retarded (oops I mean special) kid.
The second time Daniel gives his impassioned slow learner speech in the principal's office, and Lindsay cracks up because she realizes she's been had.
Practically anything Joe Flaherty says, as the befuddled, beleaguered dad.
Seven minutes in Heaven, and of course, "Millie. I killed your dog", topped only by "Millie, don't wake up the dog."

This was a pleasant surprise the last time I watched the show. Iīd forgotten that totally or maybe I didnīt even know the last time I watched it. Donīt even remember. But then I saw Sarah in Buffy I knew I had seen her somewhere else.
I looked up the main actors (not Sarah).
Linda Cardellini: ER (105 episodes ) and Velma in the Scooby Doo-movies.
John Francis Daley: Nowdays a regular Bones and earlier in Kitchen confidental together with Nick Brendon.
James Franco: Friend/villain in the Spiderman movies.
Samm Levine: Nothing big but loads of appearences in sit coms.
Jason Segel: Stars in How I met your mother, Knocked up
Martin Starr: Knocked up and Superbad (no major roles though)
Seth Rogen: Anchorman, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Knocked Up, Superbad and a lots of movies coming our way.
Busy Philipps: Dawsonīs creek (46 episodes), ER (14 episodes)

Mhm, I'm one of those Freaks and Geeks fans too. I think I've seen the show about two times, and I've probably seen some episodes a few times more on TV. I love both Lindsey and Kim, the girls on that show are just awesome :D

I really miss this show. Sooo much. Once I can afford it, I'm definitely buying it on DVD.
That's where I initially recognized Sarah Hagan from when she appeared on Buffy.

That's it, you've all inspired me to look into this show. My best friend has been telling me that it's amazing as well. I'll report back when I've seen it, though that could take a while.
