Maybe someone's asked this before but what the hey.
What's the most embarassing thing in your collection?
Like an old kid's film you loved when you were wee that you can't let go of-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for me.
Or a film that's widely known to be pure rubbish but you secretly like-I own both Charlie's Angels films
:lmao:

I have Earth Girls are Easy. I think that's the only thing in my collection I'd be moderately embarrassed about. Anything else I think is silly is my hubby's fault.

I think my Dawson's Creek dvd's are the ones that most make me cringe.
It gets progressively more embarassing as the seasons go on (when they really shoudn't have)...what can I say I just loved Pacey!

This is fun. I wrote in a similar thread a while ago and the guys started mention films like The Goonies, Con air, Terminator 2 (!!!!), Bad boys, Grease, Cruel intentions, Notting Hill and Love actually. And I was like "Should I be embarassed for them?!!" And I say no way, I recomend them to people all the time.
But I must admit that I rarely mention that I own Striptease. Not that I think the movie is that bad, it´s pretty entertaining actually. Ok, it´s not a masterpiece in any way, but it´s watchable. But with its reputation and nudity it´s not the dvd I put on display for everyone to see. Gotta love Ving Rahmes.

Well, the most recent embarrassment has got to be the "Southland Tales" dvd that I bought thinking," Hey, Sarah and the Rock. GOTTA be good." I'm trying to find someplace to hide it where it will never see the light of day again.

Stardust isn't embarrassing! That movie is awesome!
I also own Flashdance, but I'm not really embarrassed about it, though now I think I should be.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add, today I bought An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. But it was only £2, bargain!

There is nothing about owning Stardust to be embarrassed about...it was one of the best movies to come out last year. And it has pretty much every genre in it to please both girls AND guys.
I recommend it to people all the time.

shadowcay agrees: Did you know that SMG was offered a part in Stardust but she turned it down to spend more time with her husband.
Ooh! I knew that! They wanted her to play Yvonne, didn't they? I think Claire Danes did very well, so I'm not horribly disappointed.

Is it embarrassing to say I'm still VERY firmly on VHS? 98% of which is taped-from-TV?
Ok, if that's not embarrassing enough for you - one of those taped-from-TV VHS cassettes is Spiceworld the Movie. :D

I don't know if I'm exactly embarassed by any of my DVDs, but I do have to mention Time Bandits and Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. But they're just so good!

Waterworld. Ugh.
At least I DIDN'T BUY IT. It was a gift from my brother, who thought it was great. It's still in the plastic.

For me, a toss up between Bring it On! and The New Guy.
I only bought them because of Eliza - I swear!
Oh, and Shriek if you Know What I did Last Summer.
Julie Benz - I swear! Danny Strong being in that is completely coincidental.
And ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm The Girls Next Door.

Seasons 1 -3 with Season 4 on pre-order.
I got nothing here on these Buffy related.

I still have a few movies on VHS, I've been slowly replacing them with DVDs. I absolutely HATE VHS, I'm glad they stopped releasing movies on them. They're evil. And fullscreen.
I can't tell you how many movies I had that I watched so much that the tape snapped, or else was so worn it was grainy. Not a problem with DVD. :)

Gilmore Girls. Lauren Graham is my favorite comedic actress, and she pulls off the mile-long, super-fast dialogue flawlessly. And she and Alexis aren't to bad to look at either.

I thought it was Shriek if you know what I did last Friday 13th?
Yep, you see how embarrassed I am by it?
Actually, I just forgot the actual name. Mea culpa.
Although it is funny that Julie Benz plays Sarah's character when Julie originally auditioned for the Buffy part.

You stole mine! Actually, I'm not really embarrassed to own Spiceworld. It might be more embarrassing that I bought the 10th anniversary edition DVD when it came out last november....lol. I am a huge Spice Girls nerd though.

Embarrassing? One immediately springs to mind...."A Walk To Remember".
Don't judge! I bought it for my lady years ago.

My most embarrassing are probably Xena: Season 5, A Walk to Remember and Spice World
I think AWTR is the most shameful, to be honest. I mean Spice World is SO bad it's good, and Xena is more of a boxed set than a DVD... A Walk to Remember though, wow! It seemed so good the first time I watched it, but after that... everything changed!
I also have "The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants"-- but that's just good taste :D

I don't have any that are embarrasing. Well, I don't have any I'd feel embarassed about anyway. If I think a movie is good, then I don't really care what other people think about it, cause most of the time they haven't seen it. The only ones I was previously reluctant to admit to were the Harry Potter films, but now I just love them too much to care. Especially at Christmas.
Crossroads (the Britney Spears classic)...and yes, I watch it often enough that I can almost quote it. It's like candy, I know I shouldn't, but I have to have some.

I'm not really ashamed of it but Mean Girls, my friends always ask why its on my DVD shelf and they always assume my sister left it there when they first see it. Then they learn that it's mine.

Well my most embarrassing DVD is probably "Disney's Sing-a-Long Songs: Disneyland Fun". The old Disney Sing-a-Longs were on VHS and then my brother bought me the DVD. I pull it out when I'm depressed (or packing, oddly enough) and it cheers me up! But defintily embarrassing.

Wow, some of you have mentioned movies that I am damn proud to own... Mean Girls, Bring it On, Stardust, Charlie's Angels. I really don't think I own anything I'm embarrased to own. I only buy movies if I LOVE them. I know people that will buy movies they've never seen, I never have done that, for me to buy it it has to be something I can picture myself wanting to rewatch. Bring It On, for example, may not be my favorite movie of all time but its has among the highest re-watchibility (possibily made that word up) appeal for me. Hmmm, my roommate owns American Psycho and I'm embarrased that its anywhere near all my awesome DVDs... does that count? :p

You know I think I found one I'm slightly embarrassed to own... or maybe not so much embarrassed as regretful for buying. The Neverending Story 2. The first one is one of the most amazing films of my childhood, I could watch it over and over... I went to the store to buy it and saw the sequel was really cheap so I went ahead and bought both. I'd seen the Jonathan Brandis (<3) sequel before of course, but in hindsight once I rewatched it I prob coulda gone without owning it.

Haha. :) The most embarassing thing I own that's on DVD is probably the Pokemon and Sailor Moon DVD's that I still have.
