How to kill vengeance demon?

One thing i have wondered is how do you actually kill Vengeance demon? One sure way is to break their power, but what other ways are there?

When D'hoffryn killed Hallie was he doing it by his will or with the power of wish? Also can he fire them as easily, or are there some requirements for that: for example not meeting quota or taking back wish. My personal take on this paragraph is that it was power of wish for first part, but it does not really matter as he can fire them as he desires.

Beside those what about other possibilities? Would decapitation, burning them, suffocating, drowning, starving or some other way?

Well I suppose D'hoffryn killed Hallie because he created her. He's a big powerful dude I suppose.

But I always imagined that you had to destroy the power source and then kill the person left, even though that would be very bad, especially in the Buffy-verse!

Ways to kill a vengence demon: Chop head off. Chop into wee tiny bits. Throw a grenade at her. 20 shot gun blasts......
I imagine all these would do the trick.

gotta agree i mean look at the case with the judge, no forged weapon could kill him but they didnt have rocket launchers then so sword through the chest ya know hurt but beheading probably could do the trick

Those things would probably work, the only thing is that they are so powerful it would be tuff. Especially Anyanka and Halfreck.

I think D'Hoffryn killed Hallie with wish power...when he made that deal with Anya he even asked her reassuringly 'Is that you wish'
Other than that...well, probably anything works that will damage the body beyond healing, like people already sayed, beheading, granades and whatnot.

I don't think they have and special resilience do they? Just power. They are still just demons after all. SO yeah - what ever fits!

Anya after being stabbed, Anya says "You should know better, Buffy. It takes more than that to kill a vengeance demon."

And when Hallie gets impaled she laughs and says "Oh ho, flesh wound."

Vampires can survive those kinds of wounds easily, so I'm assuming that decapitation would work.
That's probably what Buffy thought too since she still used a sword to try to kill Anya.

I think the only and best way to kill a vengence demon is to crush their amulet/necklace that holds their power. Though then they would be human...
