So. I'm thinking of buying this box set
Buffy the Vampire Slayer - The Chosen Collection 2005, DVD: items on eBay.com (http://catalog.ebay.com/Buffy-the-Vampire-Slayer-The-Chosen-Collection_UPC_024543212904_W0QQ_fclsZ1QQ_fifptsZ1 QQ_pidZ48071433QQ_tabZ2)
which I know is good with all the special features and all...
but i came across this set too,
Buffy The Vampire Slayer (http://www.no-retail.com/item.php?item_id=334&category_id=76)
which is foriegn I imagine. (its cheaper) my question is: does anyone have this? Is it the same as the Chosen collection? (AS in does it have the same special features?)

Well, it was me I would go with the proper Chosen box set. I haven't heard about anything different from the ordinary dvds though

I've never seen the 2nd one before, but I own the Chosen Collection and recomend you go with that. According to the info on the second one you listed, it only has 39 discs (all the episodes+any special features on them). But on the Chosen collection, there's 40 discs, the 40th being a bonus feature disc that only comes with that collection. In addition to that, the Chosen Collection comes with a signed letter from Joss, and a handy, colorful episode guide :)
The Chosen Collection is my reccomendation :)

* Breaking barriers: Itīs not a chick fight thing
* Love bites: Relationships in the Buffyverse

well thats confusing , I have this
Amazon.co.uk: Complete Buffy Collector's Edition Box Set (Series 1-7): Sarah Michelle Gellar, Emma Caulfield, Michelle Trachtenberg, Amber Benson, Nicholas Brendon, Charisma Carpenter, Anthony Stewart Head, Alyson Hannigan, David Boreanaz, Seth Green, James Marsters, Marc Blucas: DVD (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Complete-Buffy-Collectors-Box-Set/dp/B0002UUO86/ref=sr_1_44?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1215766828&sr=8-44)
it has only 39 discs, what is on the 40th disc then? would it be worth me getting the red and white boxset?
Then there is also this

I think the 40th disc is all special features. What I did, was I sold all my box sets individually then bought the white and red Chosen collection...
Which I will be getting in a few days in the mail! YAY!

only if you want wants on the 40th disc listed above your reply.
But the red and white box is very nice imo. But what does the inside of the UK box set look like?

I still think the UK dvd boxsets looked the best. The design of the box is cool.

I like the Purple UK one best of all:
Amazon.co.uk: Buffy The Vampire Slayer - Series 1-7 - Complete: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicholas Brendon, Alyson Hannigan, David Boreanaz, Seth Green, James Marsters, Michelle Trachtenberg, Anthony Head: DVD (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Buffy-Vampire-Slayer-1-7-Complete/dp/B000AM6NCW/ref=pd_sbs_d_h__1)
That's the one I have, and I like it because it's nice and compact. It also doesn't have just the indivudual Box Sets inside it, it has it's own small booklike packaging. Plus, the purple is nicer than the Black!

Does the extra DVD have the pilot HQ?

No. The unaired one? The only place to watch that pilot is on You Tube, as far as I know.
I did go ahead and buy the box set, and it's great. Very nice. Great special features.
