If Angel had stayed in hell after Season 2 and Faith had gotten the spinoff instead, maybe with Wes as a side kick (this is assuming a non-rogue Faith instead of the real one) do you think that the show would have been a success?
I don't know if Faith had enough of a fan following back then, but I could see it running for a Season or 2, maybe even 3.
Lots of things would have changed, though. For instance, I don't think Cordelia could have been part of Faith's world, so she might have stayed in Sunnydale, with maybe Xander jumping ship insted. Wesley would have been interesting to see, if his 'Rogue Demon Hunter' days still happened, or if he would have developed as much as he did. I can see Gunn fitting into Faith's life, maybe even as a love interest. Fred would be out, but Illyria might work.
It's interesting to think about all the stuff that would have changed, or never happened but, as usual, this girl keeps circling back on one thing...if Angel stayed in hell, and never came back, then there would be no Connor!!!
Yep, I'm obsessed.

Personally, i think a Faith/Wes show would easily work. Also, a Faith/Giles(maybe Wood) show would also be popular.
Faith, despite only really being a regular for 1 season, is easily one of the most popular(top5) Btvs characters.
definetly be a hit.

I don't think it would have appealed to me as much as Angel did but I'd still watch it, it would probably be as dark as Angel in most respects. I'm still glad Angel happened though.

I think I would have liked it MORE than Angel. But I've never been the biggest Angel fan.

but faith still had a long way to go i mean at that point she was still crazy evil. nobody coulda saved faiths soul if Angel was in hell cuz hes the only one who hadnt given up on her
but she could have eaisly done her own spin-off after Sanctuary, Angel S1

I actually think Fred would have worked in that little group, especially with Wesley. The Faith/Fred dynamic would have been really interesting. She would have had to have been introduced completely differently though.

I think Angel was the better way to go, it had a somewhat different twist to it other than the "slayer" if Faith would have had a spin off show, it would have been the same thing except Faith the Vampire Slayer instead of Buffy. I think Angel offered enough of a difference between the two shows to make it work. Also, the difference between a female heroine and a male hero helped differentiate between the two shows, if Faith would have been the spin off, it wouldn't have offered that male hero closure in my opinion. I've thought about if he did another spin off with Spike, but then came to the same conclusion that it would be too similar to Angel for it to actually work.

I think a Faith and Giles show would have been better because they are so similar , Angel has its own Aura about it the Faith show would have been a darker version of Buffy x

Not as much as a success that Angel was. The heartthrob factor being HUGE by the way

I have to agree with those saying Angel was better choice than Faith. As of success i don't know -- it depends how much they could separate two slayer shows.

I think Faith and Wes would have made a BETTER spin off somewhere after S3 of Angel. When Wes was on the "outs" with Angel and Faith was kind of on the "ins"
That would have been fun for me.

I never became a faith fan until she helped in season 7 of Buffy, but even then I wasn't too fond of her. Angel is my favourite character, so that's why I enjoyed his show. So yeah... I wouldn't have watched a Faith spin off, but it would probably be successful for a couple seasons.

I don't think it would have done as well... A lot of the best moments Eliza had on the show was when Faith was bad... She made a kick-ass villain, and a sexy-as-hell rogue slayer.

I can't really see it working. What's good about the seperate shows Buffy and Angel is that, even though they take place in the same 'world', they are till different. Buffy is a slayer, Angel a vampire. With Faith it would be just another show about a slayer. And if they had planned to give her an own show, they would've never let her become so dark on Buffy, so the whole show wouldn't really have been that thrilling imo. Maybe later. Like, after Buffy ended, that would've been a good time to make a Fath spin-off, additional to the Angel spin-off (I would've really loved to see crossovers!). When her character had fully evolved and people loved her.

I think I prefer the Angel version. I will say, however, that I love Eliza and always have. I think she would have great success now with her own spin off.
