This was brought up in another thread (by me--"Buffy vs Batman), and it just sounded like something that might fun to speculate.

Here's the match:

Illyria, at the peak of her power

Versus

Wonder Woman


Who wins and why?

I'm gonna say Illyria.

She seemed pretty strong in Fred's body, I'd hate to see her in her demon form.

I still think Illyria if we are on about just in Fred's body. I mean we saw what a hell god was like, Illyria's like a slightly diluted version of that in my eyes.

Yeah, Illyria was described as a "hell god," not a "hell goddess," but whatever species she originally was might have been male, female, both, or neither. The single drawing that they ever showed if her "true" form seemed to be some sort of massive stalk topped by a dozen or more tentacles, so that is no help. I think about the safest thing to say is that Illyria in semi-human form is female, and just let it go at that. Especially if she and Spike should ever...

Actually, Wonder Woman has the power of SEVERAL gods: "Stronger than Hercules, wiser than Athena, swifter than Mercury," is the way that she was described when I was young. Those were her gifts from the gods themselves. (not that I think that those powers would necessarily prevail against Illyria, but it would most definitely be a tussle worth watching)

illyria at the top of her game really couldnt be beaten by any superhero i can think of she could not only slow time but also jump to other demensions combined with her super strength shes unstoppable

Yeah, I don't think Wonder Woman would have time to get out that lasso or her plane. She'd just get whooped. Although, she does jump well.

She may have the "power" of some gods, but that's just the power of and sadly, those are kind of good and wussy type gods compared to what Illyria seems to be. I saw Disney's Hercules, they were all fluffy bunny type people.
